All trash in nadox share the same drop table, which as the others have posted has twice the drop rate on the marbles as the trash mobs in HoH.

HoH Trash loot table:
webtools/npc.php?id=1619

Nadox Trash Loot table:
webtools/npc.php?id=227029

The main difference between the two is that HoH drops more overall, spells, Double Point Potion ingredients, Marbles for Augments, Augment peices, and Point symbols. Where as Nadox, you do not have a chance to get anything except the Marbles (at twice the rate compared to HoH), the Double Point Potion ingredients (same drop rate as HoH), and a clicky item required for the final boss event (Vistrinda) in Nadox.
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...

Well , the drop rate is higher in nadox , thats valid.
But trash mobs in nadox got a way more hp then hoh trash , so afterall the drop rate isn't really x2.

in 30 min hoh you can get 3 marbles, in 3 min nadox you can get 4 maybe 5 , due to the fact you can kill less mob in the same amount of time.
I see it more beeing x1.25 then x2 :p

More and more people are getting flagged up for this zone.
Would like to see if there is any chance of either guild instance'ing this zone or an option for raid instance like Volk etc.

Maybe thats not in the cards, how about some sort of anti afk script. Sure I know some would object to that idea but once again the active players in the zone would prefer a stable zone.

This is a difficult issue to problem solve as the idea is to not grief the player base (from the server stand point) and from the player point of view we want to be able to afk and get points from our guild killing.
So I admit that I have no perfect or great solution but really would love to see something.

It's been very frustrating for me this weekend, I've wanted to take advantage of the double points weekend, and have been trying for 14 hours now to keep a character in zone for more than 2 minutes without hitting over 2000 ping, it's not happening. There are currently 120+ players in the zone and 3 groups are killing ( 18 toons ). The afk leechers are bogging the zone down while serving no purpose other than gaining points from those who are farming. I know a lot of people are bound in HoH, but I really feel like something has to give. The problem will only compound as time goes on and guilds become more geared and more toons become flagged for the zone.

Hoping for a guild instance or some kind of afk script where you get moved to a zone after being afk for so long ( it's going to suck for when you have alts in zone you're farming for and you don't move them every xxx amount of time, so I'd probably rather see a guild instance, but this would also prevent the afkers from keeping those who wish to be active in zone from being able to ).

Thanks for your time,
Harney

I agree we'll have to do something with this AFK point leaching. It's just not how things should be and the "fix" for this is long overdue. As always we'll discuss and will try to come up with the best and fairest solution.

Being in a group and being afk a bit while leaching exp or points is definitely not an issue, but doing the same with a whole raid for hours/days.. well.

Btw this is an unrelated issue from someone having 1200 ping in a crowded zone. That's a connection issue.

I just want to chime in from my end. I already harangued Micah this weekend (sorry again, Micah!) about this issue, because he was the first GM to respond to my request in-game. Anyway!

I spent pretty much the entire weekend in HoH, starting 2PM CST Friday and ending 11PM CST Sunday (with obvious breaks). When there were fewer than 100 players in the zone, the zone was perfectly fine. There was little lag (likely client-side).

A perfect example of this would be yesterday (Sunday) at about 9AM CST when I logged in. There were 35 or so players in the zone, and there was literally no lag. As more people logged in, the lag increased. I reset my Internet connection a few times during the day hoping to get improvement, but I can honestly say that this was definitely a zone population issue, with lag peaking at the 120 or so players in the zone when I logged out.

Now, as I explained to Micah (I tried at least), I do not want to see this zone instanced for guilds. I liked being able to interact with people outside my guild. The server is already very secluded as it is -- with the lack of grouping through early levels to general boxing through the raid tiers. I would just like to see an automated relocation of the AFK players (especially those around the zone entrance). On the low end, an hour seems very constraining; however, allowing them to remain in the zone indefinitely is not ideal.

Either way, and this is something I want to stress, the weekend was enjoyable with a lot of people from various guilds coming together for each other (killing particular spawns that people needed and the general feel of working together to generate gear for our "competition"). But with a semi-constant 100+ players in the zone, the amount of fun quickly diminished with sporadic zone-wide lag spikes and general disarray caused by the rapid destabilization of zone quality that comes with doing all things EQ.

I am posting this NOT as a GM:

My only problem with this whole scenario is this: It seems VERY unfair to me that now that a lot of toons have their fully evolved items (my toons included) we change it to AFK script and boot people that are "leeching" points. We ALL have done that, all of us. If we had that script in place since day 1, maybe we wouldn't have so many evolved items now. As I said, IMHO (not as a GM) this is unfair to other players.

That said, I am not sure what the solution is for this, as I agree, so many people in the zone made it difficult to enjoy as we do in regular days.

We discussed it and there will be no change to HoH or any kind of afk script. To lighten up the situation in HoH, we'll offer godly points from Nadox and several new group/task zones (V is working on them).
