Honestly i can understand the arguments for lowering the entry barrier, and the arguments against lowering.

I think this is a better solution with one caveat; we're just entering T8 and we're enjoying the challenge of taking down the bosses one by one. It would feel a bit artificial to have our progress increased just to ease an access quest for those who have already beaten T8.

So it could be done slightly differently; once you kill the boss of Nadox/HOH, you hail an NPC that permanently doubles/triples the points gain for the respective zone. It would be a reward for completing the zones and an acknowledgement that you're ready to start working towards access to the next tier. This would greatly reduce the grind for guilds already capable of defeating the whole zone, without altering the challenge the tier presents for guilds breaking into the content.

Don't know if that's easily codable but that idea looks pretty interesting at first sight. It eases the life of those who have already did over and over again the t8 zones, and it keeps the way it is for those who have just entered, untill they have beated the boss of the zone.

Or you make Chaos/Vistrinda drops 6 "talisman of the djinn lords" (upgrade from the amulet thatt can be bought for 2500 points) that casts "djinn's faith" (upgrade from "djinn blessing") that triples or quads godly points, without any recast delay and that lasts the duration you want (like an hour). Thus it can be perma up.
So people have an interest in killing end boss because it speeds up the godly points greatly, without any code to do. There are many upgrades for the items that can be bought in t8 or t9 zones. That would just be another one.
It also fits with previous ideas that just ease the way for those who have already beaten things, and let things the way they are for others. It also gives a good reason to beat final boss in t8 for those who haven't done it yet. Atm they both don't give flags that are actually used.

Just double point values of everything. kill, boss, and token.. and that solves the issue. Or if we wanted to do the above, you could remove the point requirement altogether and just have a flag fairy on chaos and one on Vis that each give 50% of the flag requirement to get into dsk3. That would still mean grinding out for the mask. Or do both... since we are talking about HoH that has been out for a couple years.

To follow Sian's idea :
Make the djinn amulet a quest like the "Charm of Queen Adrianne", with a multiple step quest that can upgrade the effect of the djinn amulet.

OR

Create a new passive AA which effect will be HoH points multiplicator coefficient.
When you enter HoH the first time, hail a NPC, get the new AA with HoH points x0.

And then, with group task and raid task, increase the coefficient, let's say 0.1 for minis and 0.5 for raid target.


With those, you can add other tasks if needed, in Nadox, DSK3 and next tiers...

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and inputs! There are some great ideas here and the Dev team has begun an internal discussion on which path(s) we will be taking with resolving some of the issues that have been brought up in regards to this topic.

We will let you all know once a decision has been made :)

Based on initial decision of the Dev team the following changes have been made:


(Hot fixed) o Godly Points awarded from killing in Halls of Honor and Nadox now scale with the completion of the Tasks from Halls of Honor. These are the following scaling formulas:
    - Solo Task Complete: +50% Godly Points
    - Group Task Complete: +100% Godly Points
    - Raid Task Complete: +150% Godly Points
These modifiers are added to the base value and CAN be doubled by using the Djinn Necklace Buff. Additionally, these modifiers are also applied to turning in Symbols and are applied towards the completion of Evolving Items.

(Hot fixed) o The cost of Map of Dreadspire has been reduced to 15,000 Godly Points.

(Requires Reboot) o The Chaos event now has a 25% chance to drop 1 Map of Dreadspire.

These may not be final outcome decisions, however based on the feedback, this is what we felt would benefit the community as a whole. Please feel welcome to leave feedback/discussion.

*Note* - If the Hot Fixed changes are not taking affect, they may require a reboot. They shouldn't but occasionally we do see some issues with quest/code changes not taking affect until after a server reboot.
