I am not aware of any game that the higher the level the smaller/shorter the grind.

PS: I personally don't like EQLive grinding, that's why I play here :p

only game i can think of that wasnt like that was wow but that was 0 grind in beginning and 0 grind @ end cause they nerfed everything to easy mode 8)

Id still like an example of a game in which the end game requires you to grind trash in a SINGLE zone for months on end. There are few games that I have not played to end game which is raiding and killing bosses for loot vs. pvp. This zone did the exact opposite you went from forming strats, working as a team, to grinding trash. Trust me It is not just me..youll get more complaints about it Im sure. I am just the first to bring it to your attention.

Lets be honest, before 2x and after 2x its pretty much a dead-zone. Where if there are any in the zone most are afk leeching off the 1 group bored enough to grind trash. That person was me just a couple hours ago and will probably be me again in a few. I know tons are flagged for hoh, and many do not have final evolves yet its still a dead zone. Makes you wonder why its so empty all of the time because unless im mistaken final evolves are best items in game atm.

To give you an example again. On live, I had to grind Ssra basically for weeks to get bane weapons and be able to attempt Emperor. And that zone was just one step before VP wich was month of farming. And yeah, end-game is 1 zone everywhere in your terms.

THF always had one zone being the end-game (if the last tier of raid zone is equal to you being the end-game). But usually end-game means the last few tiers of raid zones (which THF also have), so your comment once again makes 0 sense.

Btw which one of the below players are you Taladome? (checked it by the time I posted, few hours before the scheduled reboot)

Dixy Bard 70 hohonora
Ranjer Ranger 70 hohonora
Gingersnaps Cleric 70 hohonora
Tasheek Enchanter 70 hohonora
Buffing Shaman 70 hohonora
Jugganot Berserker 70 hohonora
Kiel Warrior 70 hohonora
Sammey Shaman 70 hohonora
Womos Monk 70 hohonora
Shakakahn Cleric 70 hohonora
Duhast Wizard 70 hohonora

Let's be honest Taladome. As Bront (subtly) pointed out, you keep referring to a game called World of Warcraft. And my answer is once again, no thanks.

Nobody likes grinding.

One of the reasons people come to emu servers

If that would be true, P1999 would be empty. In fact, it's the most successful emu server.

I hate HoH and grinding but if I had more play time like I use to have I would be in there, and unhappy.

This "grinding" word is really getting odd in this context. I mean we are a custom server where you can get lvl 70 and hundreds of AAs in days and can jump into our end game from T0..

People came to P1999 to experience the nostalgia of EQ pretty sure they didnt come to grind. Its a difficult situation this because i see the purpose of the grind but then i understand the concerns of the player.

Out of interest what was done to get players to do hard ldon missions? Maybe something like that might help people enjoy it (if that's possible!)

Grinding is a term used in video gaming to describe the process of engaging in repetitive and/or non-entertaining gameplay in order to gain access to other features within the game. ...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grinding_(video_gaming)

I think the concept of killing 40 thousand trash mobs in a single zone fits that description.

^^^^^^^^^^^
Said players have been in there since I woke up, afk and leeching points from my kills. I have since left the zone to take care of other matters. So if it was your intent to show me how active the zone is....

When did i "keep" mentioning wow? Once mentioned along with others and I played that game less than any other I have. I mentioned DAoC which also had evolving weps/items that could be lvled on other things including pvp. WoKF had evolving items and focuses that could be lvled on anything you wanted to grind and more points for more difficult mobs/bosses. I can list a ton ive played to end game and none involve grinding in a single zone for months. Yea I did live too, did the keys, bane weps, pop flags, none of which kept me in a SINGLE zone for months, including bane weapons..

So your saying this zone is for hardcore gamers only who love to grind non stop? We stop taking the casual gamer into consideration? What others pointed out is we come to emu servers to get away from the grind, many have lives beyond the game and Id hate to even imagine only being able to play for 1 or 2 hours a day and step into this zone...Up till now, a 1 or 2 hour a day casual gamer can obtain the flags and join the raids to complete content. Heck we have some that only do weekends and still can get their flags etc. HoH is like saying casual gamers beware...

Taladome, I give up. This is how THF is, live with it or leave it. Or better yet, start your own emu server and show us how it should be. I'll be glad to try it out and give you some constructive feedback.
