Question about the raid quest: Why is the boss kill order linear? Why not just unlock them all and allow them to be killed in any particular order? As it is, the bosses are out of order in the quest line - Volkara -> Draekon -> Seravince. Draekon is a more powerful enemy (according to some changes made earlier) than Seravince. Unlocking the order would allow folks to kill them based on whatever is up at the time since these events are contested.

My $0.02.

Thanks!

They are linear locked because that is how I wanted them to be. I unlocked the Solo/Group tasks, but the raid will remain linear.

And The path goes Draekon -> Seravince because that is how I chose it to be. Yes, Draekon is prolly one of the hardest, if not the hardest event in HoH. But that doesnt change the fact of where I placed him in the progression path. Look at Visath in DSK, that event is prolly the easiest in the zone, but is the last event before Xeru.

As for the Guards, I have them made, just have to wait for the next reboot for the faction changes to go in which will allow them to attack the NPCs in the zone.

A point was made in an other thread about ranger dps in t8, bow damage is worthless with the ac and rooted mobs. I put her plunking arrows anyway but she does very low damage, she has the t8 bow with the with the claw of the spider queen in it. When I can I put her up hitting on the mob. It seems there is real no place for the ranger in a raid anymore in t8, and a few guildies have retired their rangers or dont bring them along. I put to much work into my ranger to just not bring her, so she does her little amounts of dps where and when she can. The ranger has become a sad-panda.

I plan to try and rework some of the events with rooted bosses. Obviously some will remain a rooted, but I want to open them up a bit more to allow the range dps a bit better dmg.

This probably won't happen for a few weeks though, as I have two rather important issues to fix code wise before I will get a chance to hit the quests/events again.

Thought that wouldn't go live until next reboot but I'll look over my logs

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but couldn't a lot of the ranger DPS issues be resolved by removing the half damage to rooted mobs thing? I don't really see it as necessary at this point, though I don't play a ranger primary. I understand that bow DPS is on the lowish side even for unrooted mobs, but it seems like this would help a little!
