Do you get to character select? Are your toons in West commonlands? Mine were all in WC and the commons file needs to be transferred from the UF install since it is not included in RoF2

I can't get to char select, it says GUI XML error and check your log, when you open the log, it's blank except that it says created in 2017.

I've just found 2 different ways to recreate this error:

1) You add the patcher to a different folder than the actual EQ install folder and then click Play in the patcher window to run the game, that will produce the error because the patcher in a separate folder so the path to the gui xml files can't be found. FIX: Run the patcher from the same EQ folder that eqgame.exe is located.

2) The shortcut that you run to start EQ has an incorrect "Start in:" path set up in the properties. FIX: View the properties of the shortcut and make sure that the start in folder points to the same folder that the eqgame.exe is located.

Thanks for everyone offering to help, I really appreciate it, especially now.

I'm executing the THF downloader from the same folder that the entire EQ directory is in. I don't even see a everquest.exe file in the folder. Deleting, and re-installing again :).. when i try to run from eqgame, it says run everquest.exe, which I can't find.
