Its awesome to hear everyone is having a great time here! I know what its like to be working hard for a long time without receiving much thanks/recognition for the work (even if you're getting paid), it always feels good to get a thanks and some appreciation shown so I wanted to make sure I did that.

Pretty much agree with everything you guys have said. Definitely the highest quality custom content available on eqmu.

At the end of the day, the majority of us gamers who still enjoy EQ have played the game for a very long time. I myself at 17 years old back in 1999 and played up to current day with some breaks here and their of course. We have experienced the long grinds, the long CR's the 50+ man raids, the dreaded time grinding for keys (emp, VT anyone) flags and whatnot. We enjoy the game and it keeps drawing us back in.
So on this server things are made in favor of the "casual gamer" that most of us are now. We're in our mid-late 20's + so now we're not kids anymore, we have lives and families. We don't have time to grind 50+ hours a week like we once did. So this server cradles to us in that fashion that we can play and have fun and still get somewhere and have a feeling of accomplishment. Being an EMU we don't have to pay and listen to our spouse complain we're wasting money on a "dumb" video game, instead we can donate our money and get rewarded for it in items. So it's a win win for us old bastards who still love EQ and don't have time for the grind like we did 10 years ago.
I've been playing here since mid-May already I have 7-8 toons lvl 70 all with 100-400 aa's and clearing up to Air content solo boxing, it's a dream come true. Things aren't handed to use like a "cheat" server, you still have to work for them, just not as hard as live. Also, since playing here I have already turned on about 5 IRL friends back to the game and they are here hooked as well.
