I'm one that hasnt been playing much.. part burn out, part new baby... but for what its worth...
Like Usinea, I felt THF became a mq2 fest.. and playing with other people just turns into two bot armies..

When i was playing, i thought it would be more enjoyable if there was a simple way for any two players to play together on challenging content. "Helping" another player typically results in one bot army way overpowered for the encounter and not being challenging or "fun" for either player.

What if any player could take any one of their characters, even MysticKitty? for example, and scale them DOWN (not up) to play along with a lower tier/level other player character.. i dont know how that would even be possible, but something like a parameter/slide/item to equip that would lower your stats/skills/equipment down by some variable amount...

It may "work" to have complete sets of equipment of lower tiers to swap out, but bank space doesnt really permit that, it would be a pain to do, and still wouldnt address scale of AA's.

2 cents from a very part time and not current player.

Edit for additional point: I, having taken a break, cant just jump back in to play with my friend (shoutout joffy) because he has out-progressed me. I could borrow one of his characters and play as a singularly unsubstantial part of his bot army, with no healing (bots).. or we could choose two of his characters and try some duoing... and try to find some other player to group up with etc... or what if he could choose one of his chars and scale it back down to T5 from T9 and we could play together. Otherwise its me grinding up to him, or him grinding up to me with a new char.

Once someone has put the time into one or more characters, why not let them scale down?
And forgive me if their is character scaling already in some way.. but im only aware of content scaling.

The scaling down part was attempted years ago in the form of shrouds 15 years ago on live and it failed miserably :(

First, I really appreciate the work the Dev team has done. I find myself looking at the forum, seeing who's online and finding bot armies. I'm very guilty of this when I play too! My general input would be 6 man content, or maybe 12 man content (Think adventures or Aug Runs in Anguish) that require team members to actually play their class. I'd like to see pulling by monk and bard, Mezzes, Slows, Snares Strategic Heals, etc. I really enjoy playing with others, and not automated actions. The most fun I've recently had on THF was when we took 6 actual people, maybe 1 healer bot to do some of the new quests in Nobles. It was great, Challenging, and interactive. Sure it's slower than bot army farming but so much fun.

Thank you all for all you do!

another idea i think ive posted before is Char-Share...

Seeing as most wearable equip is no-trade, its plausible and reasonably "Safe" to give someone login info to one of your characters. Expand that, give login info of 5 of yours to 5 people. Now you can all play equal tier/progression content together with like-abled characters.

This a no-dev way of enabling more people to play together without botting. It could be community driven on its own if people wanted to.

Crazier idea? Loaner characters provided by THF admins. What if we had some sets of basic characters that could be on loan, and even reset? Perhaps a way to manage such that you could only borrow a character below your current tier or power ranking. It takes away the progression and feeling of pride of ownership of new loot and advancement, but it would allow people to easily play together on common footing for a night or a week.

A bored T9 player can borrow a lower T3 player and play with others progressing through. Or a T9, 2 T6, T4, T3, T7 could all borrow down to T1 and single group some T1 content together for the night.

again, 2 cents from an inactive player.
