Zoning into shadow haven.

I play from Australia and im pretty used to long load times between zones. But i have such trouble loading into shadow haven since its release. Ive tried UF instead of SoD(which is my main client).

It will just hang in the load screen. Sometimes it loads and 100% of characters are dysnc'd. I have loaded a couple of times at least a couple of toons and at that point i dont have any trouble.

is there a trick? or is it just me that has trouble.

Not just you Juggy,

I'm always getting lag/desync's/zone crashes.

Shadow Haven is bad for it, but what seems to cause me trouble is when there is a larger volume of players online. If its a quiet night, then i have zero lag in SH, but if a large guild is raiding etc, then desyncs/disconnects are inbound.

This happens to me in nearly every zone, not just SH.

I also feel this is kinda affecting our guilds ability to raid. We might start of in Nadox for example, and no lag at all, then all of a sudden mobs will start flashing in and out, spells wont cast etc.. Then i take a look at who's online, and there is an increase of about 30-50 players who start up raiding. That means our guild has to pretty much stop raiding, and wait.

Loosing a fair few guild members to this issue.

Ive always had the problem specifically with shadow haven. Even the otherday i got in and all grouped together thought this would work.. after about 5 minutes another person logged into sh and it started to lag out. i think my problem is specifically shadow haven i haven't had trouble with any other zones, but then again i dont go into nadox/HoH etc.

I must say the recent changes, especially in HoH, have helped out heaps. Lot less lag, but the desyncs have happened ever since i've played on the server... (I've read nearly every forum post about lag issues, edited my eqclient.ini file etc)

I must say I really love the custom content and hard work the GM's do, otherwise I wouldn't put up with reconnecting all the time.

I also play from Australia, and i feel it's more a routing issue with timeouts and desync. Kinda feel that the lag and the disconnections/desyncs are separate issues. As a guild, we also have US based players desyncing heaps too. Guildie from France has never had an issue, and boxes.

I also want to point out that I'm not hating on the box guilds at all. I chat with them fairly often, and they are nice people. It just seems that the desyncs/timeouts occur when they are busy killing stuff.

Im not a techie server specialist tho, so it's just my opinion/feeling.

We have a few ideas that we are going to work on getting out to live asap. Will essentially allow us to manipulate a lot of different data on the server without the need for a hard reboot. Expect to see some testing requests in high desync zones once we get the controls active.
