Improved Skull-Shaped Barbute too good?

When I got a ISSB for my warrior, I was happy to get a nice helm, lately I got the Kael piece... and was unimpressed. Tier 30-55 (closer to 55 though) vs. Kael drop... should be an easy upgrade...

Now, not only my warrior, but my cleric and bard also get barely any improvement going from ISSB to their Kael set helm. I'm not saying set should be better than anything else available, but Tier 30-55 and Kael (70+ group) should definately not be on the same level, right?

i believe with the new dev alot of the > tier 2 content is going to be looked @ and revamped a bit.

That said i know what you talking about with the level of upgrade from Chaotic gear to Kael gear is rather dissapointing - the key different with the kael gear over all other gear available is the fact that you can obtain it two ways - both through Tradeskilling while soloing in Icewell and then through KD which is definately a difficult zone for fresh 70's. I think thats the reason why we dont really see a HUGE improvement b/w the two armor tiers. Once u jump into ToV + the gear really does jump up quite a bit as you are required to raid to get it.

I share you frustration when i first started here i was wondering the same thing.

You are right, I tend to forget about Icewell/tradskill alternative... lessens the gap a bit. And yeah, like I said; not a huge issue, just seemed odd at first. KD and Icewell even more if you are into tradeskills, is/are quite accessible compared to raid. But so is Ghoul Lord =P

lol. Its unfortunate that the tradeskill alternative is quite often overlooked, personally i have always enjoyed tradeskilling and, once i realized that this was an option, i quickly lvled my bsts tailoring (my first 70) to be able to make the gear.
