I realize we're talking about tradeskills here, I was just trying to show a point that certain skills that are unique to a class help make that class and tinkering for gnomes just goes hand in hand with the lore of the game(at least the original game). I mean why be able to make poisons if you can't use them? I could understand maybe expanding who can use alchemy to some of the int caster classes but not to all. When you think of the history or alchemy it was mainly your medicine men making medicinal brews or someone trying to make lead into gold hehe. Playing with flower pedals and herbs really wasn't much of a pasttime of the soldiers out in the field. Personally I had a hard enough time trusting that steam powered wash your underwear while they're still on contraption with a gnome selling it... I just dunno if an ogre should be capable of such a thing. Gnomes have an advantage when working on tinkering because they are so short so their eyes are closer to the project they are working on. Ogres and other player races are too tall and gangly. Look how far their eyes are from their projects! Lol

If they were added I would think they should have a rather low cap to show they have a "passing interest" as a hobby, but shouldn't be capable of the same skill as somone who obviously spent their careers working on it.
