I think i'll explore why Bront uses a monk instead of a Ranger and gear up Deadspirit.

Magmaton told me why I need a cleric this morning.... sham just couldnt keep up... but then again I didnt use my +AC clickies because I found an opportunity to pull before I was ready =)

Oh, and my guild is going to freakin' hate me. I got a mage to level 70 and keyed for ToV... daily farm = on. Hour crawls = off.

Thanks for the info, Reid.

my box crew has gone through ALOT of changes over the last year.

i started solo boxing in a guild that only did that - was alot of fun, but reality set in and we realized we just couldnt sustain a roster liek that on this server, at the time at least i feel like if it were tried with the new population ther ewould be a good shot for it, but thats another tale 8D.

Then i added a shaman to my crew, <3d the buffs, but i noticed that GC just doesnt do much until the later ranks of the spell. So i switched him to a cleric, and shes never gone anywhere.

WHen i started looking to box stuff on my own i added a Ranger and a Wizard to my crew, both were great dps, and got me through alot of content when my guildies werent around - but ive never been the kind of person who just wants to solo stuff all day, and the ranger bored the hell out of me. So i gave the ranger to a guildy, and rolled a bard for my crew (this was when my computer restricted me to 4 box @ best). I was able to do anything i needed with taht set up, but eventually Raiding DSK i realized i was unable to really devote the time to my wizard while also MTing and healing, to do decent dps, so didnt want to take the ranger back, nor did i really want him either tbh, i decided to play with some melee toons.

Added my monk into my crew, and realized that i just got so much out of him utility wise - made anything i did solo so much easier, and i didnt have to micromanage nearly as much to still get great dps from him - yeah i dont get every flying kick off, but run a /doability social and i can at least get a few off every time i switch to him. Really it was when i got the raid aura for the monk, the aura of the mighty that i realized a melee centric group could be good. I rolled a rogue after playing with Felibar's rogue, and loved it - worked him into the group, added my shaman back in since i had gotten a better computer and can now 12 box if i wanted too - and b/w the bard/shm/monk/rogue i can outdps nearly any box crew in our guild - with the exception of Raydars >< and Sega beats me if hes microing his wizard well 8).

But honestly i just found that the melee were more interesting so thats why i used them. THe ranger bored me, and i couldnt focus on the wizard enough to make it worth while, so found the group that i had fun with and turned it into the best crew i could. Aura of the mighty helps a ton too - basically able to keep my melee up in rampages/ae's with those procs alone, since everyone but my healers are meleeing.

So thats why i used a monk in my crew, could also post some parses to show you the #s if you wanted but if you really want those just PM me lol. (im parsing my toons all the damn time lol)

Love my Rogue, beastly little shit he's become. Not hard to coax good dps out Rogues while boxing either, yea you won't get every BS in, but between daggerfalling and duelist, you still are going to be happy.

My Rogue is owning my Ranger's DPS... even before I get augged out... I used to be ape shit about my warriors dps but realized it really doesnt matter because thats not his role in the group...

I'm due for a new computer. I recently replace a motherboard and made the dumbass decision to buy a cheap one that can only be upgraded to 4gig ram and im currently running 2. Next one will have 16gig.

Hey, does anyone else have a problem with /pause/doability macros only running 4 cycles instead of 5? I've tried everything to fix it.
Thanks for the memories.

I think my keys are set up like this:
/doability Y , /pause X

Fires 5 times most of the time. Its like "They say 60% of the time, it works every time."

i just have it set to fire 4 times for em all, then i have a /gu or /g "Backstab Social Over" or w/e it is for each toon, so i hve a visiual queue to switch back quickly and re hit it.

Bront's method is the most effective. The pause command likes to bug on the last line iirc. I don't have to worry about it. All my awesome is contained in one small gnomish body.

Thanks for the tips and info here. We have been rolling through ToV and managed to kill everything but Vyemm so far. All the others are going down with little to no trouble, but Vyemm just hits like a truck and it seems every time we get him down to 20% or even 10%, it gets worse and he just destroys the tank (and, no, the tank is not eating enrage, I swear! :D ).

Anyway, just wanted to drop a hearty "thank you" for the info in this thread!
