Reaper of Mortality

So I have been working on this mob, and I have the general concept of it down. To the point where I have gotten him to 10% then managed to wipe :(

However at around 85% he does an AOE stun on dps that are aggro, and then gives off an emote. Which says if you are near him he tells you to flee or if you are fighting from ranged he tells you to come to him. (Dont have exact text off hand but you get the idea).

At this spot if I walk my ranged characters into melee range, they survive. However if I walk my melee away from him they all still eat the DT. However he does not gain health from their deaths.

Unless I am just completely misreading the fight, he should not be DTing my melee if I move them away at this stage, correct? So it seems bugged?

If this isn't the case then ill just work around it. I understand that the few people I have asked said they use FD characters for the first portion to avoid this, which is hard for me since I can't make the fight longer with defensive being short duration at the moment as I cant take the hits without it.

According to the Wiki you are correct, if your characters are being DT'd then the reaper should regen 6% per kill. I'm curious if anyone else has any suggestions or experienced this.

Step 7 - The Reaper of Mortality

This fight starts out with the reaper being spawned nearby. He is permarooted, so make sure melee characters are at max attack range.

At around 75-80%, everyone in melee range must go outside melee range, and everyone outside melee range must go inside melee range. Everyone that doesn't will be death touched. Each player that dies will regenerate his health 6%.

At 69%, this is a tank and spank with one exception -- every time the message pops up that he claws at your soul, you must be ducked or be DT'd. Again, players who die will regenerate his health.

At 29% it becomes a pure tank and spank down to 10%.

At 10%, everyone moves into melee range, or will get a very powerful dot that turns them into a shadow illusion.

The one who finished the quest will get an automatic Fragment of Mortality, and there will be 5 more on his corpse. This can be turned in to the Messenger to Lord Drizku in the forest -- the character turning in need not have started the quest, he just has to have Tier 2 access of T7.

Not sure who wrote this up but 90% of it does not seem accurate at all and if it is we have just killed him the wrong way for over a year with no problems lol
