Noticed while preparing my system to 18 box that some cores where set to parking and even with 18 boxes loaded that didn't became active and the system was lagging so decided to research a bit and found out that with a registry tweak you can permanently activate it and that the side effect is that the system will only uses a bit more power.

Little prog to check if your cores are parked and option to unpark/park em without editing the registry yourself

Will need to restart the computer after you did changes with the prog.

Hope it will help some ppl out here.

And today I realize i also didnt see the augment bird bath when i use UF client, they can show up while i use Titanium client.

Meanwhile, my weapon didnt show up either on Char or Pet.

Does anyone have a idea of how to resolve this?

That sounds like the globalload.txt has some missing entries in it, hence why those textures aren't loading. This would be most easily resolved by downloading and running the THF installer (specifically the one for the UF Client)

Great find! Thank you for this. Was new news to me and seems to have helped with EQ and some other games as well.

I highly suggest everyone checking to see if your CPU uses this "feature" and to try turning it off.

This might be a dumb question, but is GlobalLoad.txt only read on the initial client load or every time the client zones? I had an idea to have two versions of it that I could pull from a batch file (copy the one with all models, load main client, copy the trimmed one, load bot clients), but if the file is re-read during every zone load, that would defeat the purpose.

Can't say for certain, but pretty sure it's on initial load. Also of note, the THF Patcher will overwrite it if you change it. My patcher batch file runs the patcher in both my folders (full and limited models) then copies a minimal global file back to the limited folder.

I was thinking about running everything from a single folder, instead. I already have eqclient.ini and eqclient-bots.ini, and I just have WinEQ2 read the appropriate one depending on profile. I could make GlobalLoad.txt.max and GlobalLoad.txt.min, then have my batch file copy "max" into place, start my control session, copy "min" into place, and start my bot sessions. I just wasn't sure if that would go out the window on zone or not.

I guess I have something to test tonight.

Thanks for the guide. Has definitely helped my system performance a ton. I do have one item that I can't seem to get to function

StickFigures=1

I inserted this line, along with all of the other changes to my ini file, but it doesnt seem to have any impact. All of the other changes take effect and help greatly.

Any idea why it wouldn't be working? I've tried inserting it at the top of the ini file and midway...but still doesnt seem to do anything. I'm currently using the SOD client.
