Playing on Widescreen

Anyone know how to fix screen size? I went from a 22 inch CRT playing at 1280x1024 boxes to a 32 inch screen. At 1280x1024 the screen now takes up 60% of the screen, what do i change in eqclient to make the window much smaller now? I use to be able to fit 4 windows on my CRT but i cant even fit more then 2 now, is it possible to fix it ?

its the thing with the these monitors- its the monitor software you need to adjust some settings to make it scale/stretch properly... I have been unable to adjust mine.. if that helps

Ugh, that will be a huge turnoff of eq if i cant shrink the window =/

What resolution does your 32inch run at?

Maybe I don't clearly understand? You just want to play at a widescreen resolution? Just set it in the eqclient.ini file and play windowed. Works for me, I play at 1366x768.

the problem is that normal OLD monitors had 4:3 scaling, the widescreens have 16:9 (? i think?), anyway, when you just setting the resolution WITHOUT properly scaling the monitor screen to properly STRETCH the screen of the software you running, it doesn't display properly, it either stretches the picture to the point where things look ridiculous, OR it leaves huge black borders on sides.

Hmmm, maybe I just got used to the stretching or something ... I don't notice anything when I play, but the char select always has Hans' name cut off though I presumed it was because of his height.
