I started back in 2000 on Tallon Zek server, I decided to jump into the deep end first instead of learning the easy way, and joined a PvP server. My main was Arremis, a Ranger, Master Fletcher (specializing in the longest range arrows - I liked killing stuff before it got to me), and Master Tailor (everyone wanted a 10-slot weight-reduction backpack - I couldn't sell enough). My secondary main was my Froglok Cleric, Heelyfrog (Temp for sale! I am the Temp God! - On a PvP server, Temp was a necessity). I also created the guild <Grail of the Phoenix>. It started out a guild of high prestige, until a group of dwarfs hacked it, took control, and brought a bad reputation upon me by PKing everything and everyone as underhanded as possible. I played up until 2 weeks before the release of EQ2, when I was invited to participate in the beta (pink boxes for weapons anyone?). After that, I pretty much lost interest in EQ because the graphics were so outdated, and EQ2 was fresh, awesome graphics, and my machine actually met the minimum requirements to play. I stopped playing EQ2 last year, and this year wanted to go back to the old EQ for a trip down memory lane (and it doesn't cost £30 a month for my wife and me to play).

2 Month later Luclin server was opened, and I swithed, hoping to get better start there with everyone from lev 1.
2 month later switched again to Morell Thule. This time firmly settling on Druid as my main, and Played all way till October 2004, when WoW/EQ2 come out, and crap load of people left, including half of our guild. I was really upset with such turn of events, specialy considering we were doign so well last few month - we totaly destroyed Tier 1-3 PoP, and Cleared VT 2 times now, and were about to break into Elementals, and then BOOM.. No guild. After that I just stopped playing, until year later my RL friend got me into EQ2. I enjoyed that for a few month- and it was so much more fun at lower levels than eq1, but then I stopped again.
Eventualy 2 years ago learned about Emu, and been into developing ever since: if you want EQ done right- do it yourself
I played on Morelle Thule :) Started around 2000 and stopped about 2003, I think.

Was in the Circle of the Hidden (I think it was called that) until it disbanded and reformed as Reviction. Shortly after that I stopped, though.

I also played EQ2 on Lavastorm but that got old fast. Then EQ2 PVP was released and we all played that on the Darathar server (Mutineers guild). We reached the top end of the game and the server was dying so we bailed to Nagafen, which was the busiest of them all.

Formed Monged there as a purely T3 PVP group but eventually left after expansions killed PVP and made the world too big to enjoy it any longer. I think the guild continued on after I left but eventually disbanded.

Played AOC a little but, same as ever, boring after a short while. Kind of prefer PVP these days but seeing LS and THF has renewed by love of the original and, in some ways, best of them all :)

Played on a bunch of diff servers from 01-06. Erollisi Marr, Saryrn, Bertox.. Played Balkain in Heaven and Earth on Saryrn until Depths of Dark Hollow ( think that was the expansion ) came out. Retired as a top 10 druid serverwide. Loved druids on live ^_^

Oh I remember Reviction well. It was one of top 5 guilds on my server, along with Triune and few others. and had very good reputation. They were basically just behind Fury Edge (THE top guild on MT).
I was in Exiled Gatekeeper, and our arch enemy was New Legacy
When EG closed down, I believe our guild leader negotiated with Reviction guild leaders (or was it Triune? I can't remember, but it was one of the two) to accept our left over guild members, while waving the regular requirements - Reviction was already Elemental and Time Flagged, and we (EG) were still strangling to kill RZ (but we cleaned VT twice).

Other have went over to Elven Elite (who was our guild closest friends and allies - we even shared DKP on raids on them).

I really liked EQ2 casual gameplay, but really didn't like the 24 classes system, where half of them were almost like the others.

Hmm, Ydiss looks familiar, but I remember it more as a dark elf warrior? And the guild you were in would be Circle of the Unseen... I always thought it was pretty cool how the /anon went with the name of the guild.

I started out on Morell Thule I think around Sept 2000. I was totally addicted to EQ, and I think when I left, sadly, I had about 450 days played. Those days weren't bazaar or I forgot to log off days - they were all actual play days.

I played Kuroni (cleric) as my main, and started off in Coeur de Lion as my first guild, then moved to Triune where I stayed until 2004. After that I moved to Druzzil Ro and was in Hoss until everyone left for WoW, then was in Europa. The last expansion I remember playing I think was DoN with Vish being the end mob.

I played a lot of characters, but my main twinks were Ginni (MT) or Parslie (Druzzil - both enchanters). My husband played a bard, Raddorin.

Yes, that was I and thanks for reminding me the name :)

I was only in the guild for a matter of days, if I recall correctly, before it disbanded.

I remember Coeur de Lion and I remember you as well. I was in Triune for a short while.

Funny how things come full circle in life. Pardon the pun.

And, ChaosSlayer, I remember the day Fury's Edge was born (if I recall right it was a merge between Relentless Ascension and their closest rival guild, the name of which I cannot recall). I do remember looking back at the Reviction web page some time after I quit the game and, fondly, noting that they had become quite powerful. It's nice to know I was there at the beginning when it all started. I can remember the day I was asked to join by the original Reviction guild leader, the name of whom I cannot remember.. I think it was "Hoss" or something similar, but I could be wrong; I was just heading to check the brownies camp in Lfay to see whether I could hunt there :)

I lead a few raids with them before giving it all up to play another game. They were fun times and, to this day, I'm proud that I actually managed to tank my own god, Innorruuk, if only for a few seconds but enough time to get in a quick hug & screenshot on the big guy a moment before he spoke my name :)

Some good memories, a few of which I'm looking forward to reviving when I get back home from my Christmas break in Prague (if not the raid memories, certainly those of travelling through my favourite old zones).
