I remember getting excited by having a full suit of banded armour... And yes, Bronze was godlike then.Koeril wrote:I remember when you were like a god if you wore bronze armor.

Sums it up well. Everquest is deeply flawed in so many ways yet is, without question, the only MMO that grabs this atmosphere.Criimson wrote:I like to explore and so most of my fond memories are of finding a new place. Like when my necro came across the island with the Sisters of Erollisi on it in the OoT. Kiting them along the waters edge, spreading the taint of Bertoxxulous across the face of Norrath. Hated elves in those days =)
Although the first "Wow!" impression of EQ I had the day I decided to try to get to Rivervale from Qeynos. I had been playing for a day or two and after looking at the map, I thought to myself "well that doesn't look too far". Running through the Karanas made such an impression on me and after an hour or so coming to the long canyon that leads to Highhold with the large stone carvings in the mountain sides. There were no games with that kind of scope back then. Running and running with danger all around. Truly, grabbed me and hasn't let go.
