Yar, it's been a while since I posted one of these....boy, betcha thought you all were safe, eh?? Mwahahah!!

....er, anyways!

As we all have seen, the population on this server is growing nicely on a regular basis, thanks to the hard work put forth by all of our devs and GMs. But I'm a little worried that we may be doing some of the newer 'residents' of THF a disservice by not making them more aware of the alternate progression line.

I know there is the Herald in THF to coax new players to come romp in Paineel, but I've noticed that he is slightly set-back from the rest of the NPCs and may be hard to find if you don't know where to specifically look for him. Is the Herald's location something that is pointed out to anyone taking the tour in THF?

My suggestions are thus:
1. If Herald is not a part of tour, could he be included? It's my opinion that the more ways that we make people aware of the alternate progression line, the better.
2. Could the /motd be changed to include some info on the alternate progression line, so that new players have more than one way of discovering the existence of said alt-p?
3. Maybe it's time for another contest in the alternate progression line? Please,please don't kill me, ChaosSlayer, I KNOW you're busy!!

Alright, I'm getting off the soapbox, but if anyone else has any suggestions on how we can make more players aware of the alt-p line, please, please post them!! The more input from players, the better.

PS: I'm also aware of the fact that we need to make sure that we are honest with the new players when we send them to the alt-p areas in that we make them aware that these areas are NOT a walk in the park, nor are they coddled there, as they are in THF with Sune and her beautiful buffs, as well as NO BOTS in alt-p.

Well I think Lillu could arrange that herald is included into a tour
I am currently working hard on the next tier of Alt-P which coming SOON (very soon), and there is definitely going to be a new contest involving the zones (Stonebrunt and GloomDeep), and I am sure Lillu will take his opportunity to announce that in MOTO

I also plan to post a small teaser for the upcoming zones

Hmm bots are allowed in Alt P last i checked but yeah, more mention of it would be nice, but id also mention its not completely finished so as they dont spend all that time and get stuck :p

no, you cannot BOX - ala you cannot play more than 1 char at same time.
But you CAN have a BOT

Not very far, Dhaani is lvl 24. She would be lvl 25 tonight, but I had forgotten how harsh the death penalty is on exp, and almost lost a level. Now, normally, I would whine and cry about such a thing, but I know that the Warrens are NOT for the faint of heart, so I just made sure to be a whole lot more careful. Well, that and I created a Cleric bot tonight. So maybe it will be a bit easier for me.

But sheesh, I forgot how much quest-related stuff I have in my backpacks!! Took me a while to sort thru it to see where I am on quests.

And the Prince in Warrens?? Well, the first three letters in his title are apt, for him,anyways!!
I would just spell it a lil differently right about now...I don't like life-leeching kobolds.

yeah I can see you killed Krode -I guess you burned him down fast enough, but I see how melee named would too hard for a true solo =)
When I played my chars I usually did Master/Prince for quick gear farm. Master does have tremendous melee DPS, but he also have lowest hp/ac among the melees.
