World Bosses

Love the idea, love it love it love it.

Hate the 36 hour spawn. Is it 36 with 9 hour variance like dain? or just straight 36 hours? Seeing as all of Tier1 is a 24 hour spawn in ssra, maybe these could be scaled back but add a variance as well?

36 hours + 9 hours variance. tier 2-4 will be more. and they can't be more common really, the reward is WAY better than their difficulty level. :)

Initially I loved the idea too, but a monster was created. I thought it would be a great way for some friends, unguilded or lower guilds to get something they normally wouldnt be able too. As it turns out its just a way for the guilds who already have everything to farm more for thier alts or new members. Yes they can be camped. Its too easy to make a ranger bot and sit in zone on your boxed char your not using 27 hours after you killed it the first time and wait for it to come up again. I found one up not by camping but by simply checking the zones as intended and sure enough was dead way before I had enough time to get any friends etc to help. Was good in theory anyway, grats those who already have everything at getting even more.

Yeah its like this on P1999.

People sit an army of boxed toons in each zone tracking named, as soon as they spawn people are texting each other and the mob is dead within twenty minutes.

I just hope it doesnt lead to the situation like it is on P1999, where GuildA cries to Lillu that GuildB took their mob every other minute.

Id rather the GMs be doing what they do best, than babysitting conflicts

I wouldn't be surprised, lol. :P

Anyways, I doubt any guild can sit 6 toons in 9 different zones 24/7. Thats like 54 toon of 6 perfect group.. also, tier 3-4 world bosses wont be a walk in the park, you might will need more than an average group of lvl 70 to beat them.

As with any new content, people will flock to them because it's exciting and new. Right now, the new mobs are doing exactly what they were intended for.... a race like live. This isn't ez server where loot is handed to you. These mobs are like the dain for 2.0 a random chance of being up. I haven't killed any of the new mobs yet. I reviewed the loot tables. Ya, there are some nice items they drop, and guess what... they are on the same level as tier 1 and 2. What is stopping your unguilded friends from going in ssra and raiding that. OR raiding Kael / Chardok or FIRE ? Fire mobs are easy with a group of 70's, and if you get into a bind, ask for help...

Was good in theory anyway, grats those who already have everything at getting even more.

Whats stopping you from working on your character to get everything? You are only limited by your motivation. And it's a great Theory, its not a static zone with no competition. Competition is good.

Can these world bosses be placed in non-custom zones or are they already? I haven't worried about them too much myself currently so do not really know. That would eliminate the they camped this zone and killed all the lower tier items for themselves or alts. ting even more. A

Also I think that the higher lvl guilds have not really farmed SSRA/SEB/KAEL etc for quite a while considering better items that are just as easy to farm for alts is in the higher tier areas which are instanced. I know for <PROGENY> we go to Kael/Chardok for 2.0 pieces occasionally and do a run but not at the expense of a non-guilded player and are always welcoming others who may need items from their to join us if they desire. Same way that <FUSION>, <EVOLUTION>, and <PROGENY> are consistantly helping newer players achieve their 1.5 with those mobs. To say that we are killing and looting everything before newer players can to me sounds more like frustration than anything. And if they are in custom zones maybe ask a group killing said mob if you can join them. They may say no but surprisingly they may say yes and give you an opportunity to loot items as well. We encourage non members to join us when in non instanced zones. Thats how we meet and evaluate possible new members for the guild. Just my 2 coppers
