THF content difficulty

We put up an important question this week. Please take your time to vote and post your opinion too.

I knindly ask everyone, don't start to argue with each other, just tell us what you think and how THF could be a better place. :)

I quite enjoy where THF is right now, sometimes I do need help from higher tier players but thats also a good thing to socialize with other guilds, the learning curve is quite difficult for us but learning different strats that work is the best thing any eqemu servers provide.

I like where the difficulty is atm. Its soloable, but theres also content out there that would kick my butt.

Could be very easy once you get a very stuffed tank (donator or not!) but I never defeated CT so cant say that whole content is too easy.
Btw, the content is very enjoyable whatever the difficulty is - More scripts perhaps would spice the content.

I meant easy because lots of things are doable with less than 12 characters including bots/boxes (that's what too easy means for me). Don't get me wrong, I like the possibility to play like this and enjoy it (we were not able to raid for a long time).

I dislike how hard it is to go from Guk to Sebilis. I tried seb at 55, and of course solo it was way too hard. I just ended up backtracking and doing the headhunter quest for guk/karnors, getting levels from light blue mobs along the way. I wish there was an in between though, because being in Guk/Karnor from 35 to 62 would have been torture if I didn't have a goal (IE: get all named mobs for a quest).

Tbh, it would be nice if all the mobs in Seb were given a few levels, and have the level req be 60+. The reason is because by the time you're able to kill anything at a good pace, everything is already light blue. Having higher level mobs would make the zone more worth it xp-wise. It's doable at 55, but with a group. Those are hard to come by, especially if you don't box.

Oh and I know PoValor has higher level mobs, but they also hit much harder. I haven't gone back since level 64, but at that level it took everything I had just to kill a blue mob. It wasn't worth it for XP at all ><. I went back to Seb and just kept killing those light blues, because they yielded better xp rates due to faster/easier kills compared to povalor.

Going from Crushbone to Guk can be a bit rough too, mainly because of the abundance of adds in Guk. It's not as noticeable, however, because XP goes much quicker at those levels. Before long the mobs aren't too difficult.

It just seems like to get anywhere past crushbone you need to farm light blue mobs before you can move to the next tier. It starts with killing stompers/champions in CB, then continues with killing the entire UD side of guk until you can finally kill in sebilis (at level 60+).

I think once you know how to do the content, it makes it infinitely easier. Remember how you died trying to get into Karnor's for the first few times before you remembered you could invis around the entry guards and take them out from behind? Remember how Sebilis used to annoy you to no end because it was so easy to run into some random named? Not so hard now that you know how to break into Karnor's and where the named path in Sebilis.

In that aspect, I think the server is appropriately hard. Could I solo any class with ease to 70 now - of course - but mostly because I know how, not because of how hard it is. There is plenty of content suited to solo, small group, group, and raids on various levels and I believe they are tuned appropriately.

I would like to emphasize what someone else said earlier though - diversity is paramount and would love to see different scripts or some sort of different gameplay aspect. Not something which would alter the difficulty, but perhaps make it - well - different!

I have really liked playing on THF. When I first logged on it was harder then I thought I like but it is just like any other game/server there will always be a learning curve. and the one for THF is not bad at all.......the one thing I would like to see is the head hunter quest moved to different zones. I know that would be alot of work but I think it would open up more zone to player and give ppl a chance to see more of this game that everyone here loves

I think all of you Dev have done a great job. and thank you for it

Honestly i think the THF staff has did a great job at balancing the raid zones and classes but i only have 1 problem and thats how hard it is for people to jump into kael. I been playing with some rl friends recently and my cousin had made a warrior, after so many runs through seb we finally got him decked out with everything he could use pre kael.

We went into kael last night with a group of 6 (war, clr, rog, mnk, wiz, rng) trying to get them geared and the giants were hitting him way to hard even at 14k hp and the cleric spamming ch/quick heals.

This of course is the only thing i can find hard in THF all the raid zones and world boss encounters are fine.

content is pretty good on difficulty, and the only problem i have is the fact that most of the guilds want the 70s only. We definitly need more social guilds. Sure it's alright to solo, but trying to carry on a conversation or joke around with a bot kinda sux lol.
You laugh because I'm different, I laugh cause I just farted!
