Solo Player Auras

As a primarily if not exclusively solo player I was looking forward to the announcement for solo player aura quests. There is not a whole lot of solo player content on this server so this was somewhat anticipated. After reading the announcement, though, I'm a little disappointed. I appreciate all the work done here, believe me I do, but to make a solo player quest that is geared around the player having Kael/Ssra gear seems to sort of go counter to the point in my opinion. I don't have much kael/ssra gear, nor can I being a solo only player. So why gear a "solo" quest around a player having gear that can only be obtained while grouping for the most part?

Please try the quest first and post when you get real experience.

Sure, I'll do that, but also don't fault me for just going by what is mentioned in your own post.

FYI Kael armor is the same as the armor crafted via drops in Icewell, something a solo player can easily attain while grinding aa's in the process.

Since the solo quest states rather clearly that tradeskills are used in the process, getting blacksmithing raised would more than likely be in your best interest anyway.

Just a thought.

Thank you for adding that, because I was thinking the same thing! You just beat me to it. Kael and Ssra level gear truly is soloable with some time and effort spent on developing a well-developed character. It's not how many toons you can throw at the game, but how well you use each toon that determines what you can do and accomplish. I'm certain you can accomplish Kael and Ssra, given enough effort, solo.

Just curious how you get to neriak before you added it to the zone porter?
Also did you see me in game yesterday when I said there is a error in the stuff the quest giver says.
Something along the lines of "my dark queen wants the for herself."
Seems like it should say she wants THAT for herself.
winging this one as I am tired and way to lazy to pull up a screen shot. Quick forum spam and off I go!

"the" already fixed. And nerriak isn't involved directly, only in the lore. ;)

The lore is half the fun. Getting to go in and talk to NPCs and see what they say to you.
Really like going to random zones and checking the npc text. Screen shot random ones for future checks.
Hardest part is remembering to either label the screen shots or finding the unlabeled ones later to reference.

That's kinda funny because the first thing I tried to do was go to neriak and eventually got there by going all the way out to TD and using the torch room.

After trying to get the conversation past the first 2 statements with the quest-giver, my next thought was to go find this dark queen, and talk to her in Neriak. :? I did head to neriak, and since tracking didn't show anything that told me it was gonna be a quick trip, I headed off to work. After work, I broke down and asked Boso some vague questions to at least get me on a better path. :)
