Pally bot spam

So there is a locked thread in here that was expressing the same Issue I am currently having with my pally bot. Sadly It was locked, and I could not post this issue there.

My pally bot just recently learned the spell ethereal elixir, and INSISTS on spamming it to heal me. This wouldnt be a big deal except for the fact that:

A)He uses it to the exclusion of ALL other heals

and

B)He Insists on refreshing said spell after the very first tick, effectively burning his mana all to hell.

The only thing that makes him stop is absolutely 0 incoming damage, OR him simply running out of mana. Not a huge deal, just kind of annoying currently, I can see it being a little more than annoying as I hit higher levels.

What do other Pally bot owners say? Remove this spell?

I think, until bots ui are tweaked again, getting rid of regen and forcing direct heals, could lead to more mana efficient bot... maybe

I think the issue why bots actually spam the dot heals instead of using different heals is the high amount of HP players have even early on.

A possible adjustment of the % range a specific heal the bots suppose to cast might help.

I mean its not only Pally bots that do it i notice it mainly with cleric bots, but than again i never rely on bots to heal.

Im not even worried about efficiency per se. I'm just concerned that he cant tank worth a damn anymore because he isnt healing himself properly anymore.

I leveled and halved the effectiveness of my bot, I was sad.

My just hit 45 with my pally / rogue combo. Pally keeps spamming the H.o.t. Doesn't ever directly heal her self.

Yeah I have noticed that when my pally tank is in a boss fight, he spams his HoT on him or I, usually doesn't taunt enough to keep off me. He runs out of mana very fast because of this.

Packing out in a min so this is my last post for a bit but basically the BOT AI sucks and the eqemu dev in charge of bots is flaky as hell and this will probably never change.
Do not hold your breath on the bot AI ever working unless a member of THF team decides to take on the task of fixing the system or someone new in the eqemu community steps forward to work on this.

If the bot h.o.t spells could have a cool down or something not sure how it could be made better....

70 druid here with pally bot. I have this same issue, and often times will die due to my pally losing agro on the target due to non-stop HoT healing which is doing no good as he is spaming it until he goes oom then he wants to sit instead of fight.

Could we put in a check to make them wait x amount of time before casting the hot again or to not cast the hot if the hot is active....or...just remove the hot from the spell list. I dont need his hot, he doesnt need it. He would make a better tank and i believe even a better healer if he would stop using this Hot spell.
