Bard Song Storm Blade (and other Combat Innate Songs)

This is a minor note compared to the usefulness of the bard overhaste discussion/post, since this skill still works as intended, but, wanted to note still:

Storm Blade Song:
1: Add Proc: Storm Blade Strike rate mod 400

and Storm Blade Strike Description:
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 100

Resist: Chromatic (-100), single target, instant.

This is essentially a "puma" like group song for bards. The problem is it's usefulness is a bit minor with the scale of augments/procs built into weapons dropping at level 45 that deal the same amount of damage if not more, even though this has the 400 mod.

Suggested change? Up damage a bit I guess.

Shamans right now can "puma" with:
Spirit of the Panther (lvl 64)
400 DD proc with 400 mod.

I'm unsure what a good value is, but my main idea is to attempt to make bards more valuable for adding damage to a group, as this is typically a defined bard role, to up damage of players in their group, usually combined with a shaman for maximum output. This is a compensation to the fact we are losing a lot of our versitility due to resists being capped, and haste being so abundant, etc etc.

The severity of this change is entirely dependant on what is done about other changes, but I still wanted to shed some light on this song if it is planned to be boosted or not.

And also, if shamans feel their spirit of the panther is less than stellar after this modification, perhaps consider upping their spell damage too in a curve of retrospect to how the monsters and general curve of gear is accellerated on our server.

I was informed that Shaman's Spirit of the Panther mod rate was nerfed at one point or another due to the raw power it gives. In this case, if this combat innate system is not planned to be so highly modded, you can always decrease the mod rate and improve raw power, and also add a check into Call of Power to not proc this to help remove a potential overpowerness.

On top of all that, it seems this song was nerfed to be 6 seonds instead of it's normal 18 seconds

I never noticed this but it seems at one point one of my songs of my twist was nerfed to 1/3rds duration. XD

Yeah that's not right at all...weird. On lvie it lasts 18 seconds, not 6. Makes the song pretty useless tbh..

Seems this song is going to be a weapon proc, so no worries wlil use something else and look into getting the weapon instead. :)

I don't know about upping the damage. This song procs like crazy (or it should), and is hardly ever resisted, if at all. With other melee's in the group, this song will always rock. Upping the damage would almost make it required to be weaved, and having something like a constant panther procing as much as this song does would be a little OP.

Definitely change it to 18 seconds though since that is what it should be anyway.

I respond to the weapon thing on the other thread.

Range increased to 150 and duration set to 3 tics.
Item Change -> Reload needed
Spell Change -> Reload AND new Spellfile needed
