So you Just turned 70 and you think your grind is over. Hah. The adventure has just begun! You have countless quests and encounters to experience! So much so its hard to know where to begin! Let me help you with that!

First things first, you just got enough experience to get solid in your new level. You should turn your AAxp on immediately! You can access the AAxp menu by pressing 'V' and the AA% is on the top right. I always keep it at 100 unless I need to catch up from a few deaths.
A level 70 with no AAxp really isn't worth shaking a stick at so get back to grinding! My fav. AA skills are Combat Agility and Combat Fury/Spellcasting fury.

So where do you hunt for XP? Fungus Grove and Icewell are stellar places that you can accumulate XP from in no time. Trash mobs in these zones drop good items so keep your bags open. Also, the deeper parts of Nagafen's, Sebilis and PoValor can provide quick kills and high AAxp reward. Make sure you start your headhunter quest if you will be fighting in these zones!

Are you tired of grinding? You should check out the epic quests to obtain your Epic weapon. The weapons are quite necessary because they usually have insanely powerful Focus effects and clickies. Check out the various weapons on the boards here through the quest walkthroughs and get on top of it!

What? You can't solo the quest? Ofcorse you can't, your not Overpowered... yet. Make some friends and join a guild. Sometimes people will shout out rots but everyone knows Norrathians can't live off Rots alone. Try not to get a guild of people that are too far ahead of you - You won't feel a sense of progression if your guildies can steamroll zones but you sit around/die on encounters while waiting for rots... Wouldnt you rather feel like your helping?

You should check out Chardok and Kael with your new friends. These zones have nice augments and loots but are quite a bit harder than Icewell or FG. To tank some of the named in this zone you need a defensive warrior or "Kael Gloved" Pally/Sk until AC reaches over 3k. Once you have mastered these zones don't be afraid to work your way into Ssra Temple!

Since you will be getting into tougher and tougher content you may want to try and upgrade your Armor and Augs. You will typically not find better main-slot items than the Chaotic Turnin quest until you start questing in ToV so make sure you spend a few hours in Nagafen's lair and Sebilis to get Augments for your main armor pieces and fill in the gaps for other old jewelry items that no longer meet your needs. While you're there make sure you don't overlook stones 1-4 that drop - you will need them for epic 1.5.

Also, check out the LDoN hub "the Vale" and review the rewards. Although the armor may not seem beneficial for 400 points you can aug these items to get them on par with PoFire level gear. Don't' worry about the stats though, the focus is what makes you really powerful. Get to it!

You want your daily activites to go smoother? Create a supporting character for your main character and feel truly powerful. Most computers can typically support running 2 EQ clients in windowed mode. You will develop a split personality in no time.

If your bags are full and you feel like upgrading a few pieces of armor then head on over to the bazaar. You can read the directions from when you zone in and search for awesome armor and weapons for all classes. If you look hard enough you might even get some stellar deals. If your bags are full then set up a trader and sell your wares! Make sure you loot mobs and get their coin and Gems. Diamonds and other gems can make you rich in no time.

There are sweet items that you can collect in this game, aswell. If you enjoy illusion items then you will have fun collecting the many items which will turn you into other races!

If you enjoy tradeskills you will have a blast trying to get max skill on the numerous trades. The AAs for Trades are quite important with the exception of 2, Salvage and Poison Mastery. Blacksmith and Tailoring AAs will be very helpful in completing your Solo Aura Quest.

Also, if you have too much plat and like staying insolvent then find your way over to the Casino and try your luck at obtaining a golden ticket!

Lastly, develop a sense of community and be good to your neighbors. If you see someone struggling with an encounter make sure you offer your help. Theres no better feeling than helping someone in need.

DS.

The tradeskill aa's do work here the ones that dont are the poison ones (i think last i heard at least) and salvage - other than that the ones which increase your chance for successful combines work fine 8)

Solid start though, it can be very overwhlming for new people after they finally hit 70. i get the question "where the hell do i start" quite often - i think this will be a good place to send em 8)

I am new to this server and haven't played EQ for years. I hit 70 about a week ago and have kinda been lost since. This is really going to help me. Thanks for the time and effort you all put into this thread.

Thanks. I really appreciate this. I made it to 70, but didn't find anything to do, so I made 3 other toons and gotten to 70. Good thing I finally decided to check here. Having a little trouble finding groups, and from what I see here it's more of a guild thing than a group thing.
