Interesting, didn't realise Lillu played with <Tide> on AB.

I used to be in <Ancient Dominion> as a noisy Paladin called Davias McBadgerton/Finchmarr. We had good links with Tide most of the time. Sometimes our most uber players would go on to Tide and sometimes Tide players who were slowing down would come to AD.

Regarding myself, I was a proud AD4Lifer and had no qualms in letting the EQ world we were one of the best casual raiding guilds serverwide. Just after I left they made it to end game content raiding 3.5 nights a week which was pretty cool, if somewhat aided by the one year release cycle change.

EQ started to go downhill for me from TSS onwards. Mudflation became really bad at that point. Also they really started to up the work you needed to do outside raiding in SoF/SoD. Also I hated SoF zones like Crystallis since we'd farmed heavy AC for a long time and then they basically designed mobs for HP whores since you could get 2 rounded with anything less than 28khp at the time. We got to that sooner or later but it was frustrating.

I'd got into the top 10 AC serverwide for Paladins from a casual raiding guild, and my friend Elladon and I were the first people we knew to 2 x 3 box Rikkukin while some guilds were still wiping to him (lol etc). SoF also started giving out AC en masse to lame players free-riding it in successful guilds so they took out the ability for a refined player to overcome and out-tank weaker players in bigger guilds.

When they took out that ability to win by thinking outside the box and playing the numbers it got boring. Also my M.E was getting progressively worse (effects my concentration big time), so in the end, EQ live had to die.

Really enjoying the setup here on THF anyway, I can do an ldon in about 40 minutes now and I can get tired really quickly so it's great to be able to get something meaningful done, then log off to rest. If I seem reluctant to get involved too much, I'm basically afraid to take help since I can't make plans to be there to help others always, I have to play my 'energy levels'. But if you need a res or some info, don't be afraid to shoot me a message.

Started around Omens, a lot later than most people here, on Cazic. Played necromancer named Drimbloxmo in <Sojourners>. Moved to Maelin then merged with Drinal and changed name to Drim, cause people hated the extra letters, and joined <Stronghold of Savages>. Got tired of the guild and few of my friends retired. Moved one last time to Xegony and played in <Machin-Shin> up to level 90. We beat the newest expansion (House of Thule) and I got bored and needed money for next years school books so retired and got rid of my account.

Gear inflation was bad and the devs were fixing stuff that was broken except it was the pointless stuff and something new broke every week while other stuff never got touched. I was around 60k hp buffless, so it was just not fun anymore. Much more fun here, kudos.

Hi, I am new to THF. It's nice to hear the EQ music after so many years. I was a 65 cleric at Tunare server when I quit. My guild was advancing to PoFire at that time. I forgot when did I start EQ. I only remember my JBoots were not from quest of AC but directly from the loot of a named at Najena. With an over 3xx days play time, then all a sudden, I left EQ behind. The best memory, is not how to get the Water Sprinkler of Nem Akh, but the countless trips back from Blackburrow to Qeyons to sell full bag of rusty daggers or swords!

Those good old days! Thanks THF for letting me to re-pick those memories.

I playing on EQLive back on Prexus in the year 1999, just when the Era of Velious's predeessor(sp?) came to be known as Luclin! Yayyy(was never a big fan of that expansion at all) anyhow, I played a shaman for 2 weeks known as JStyX and then I found my calling when I created a Warrior called Agony Of`Life. He was a Troll Warrior and I found that, that breed of race was very rare for a Warrior. I was always being mistaken for an SK which I liked being unique. I really never had any more mains, it was the warrior and that's it. When the first server merger happened, I moved to Stromm and that's where I ended up playing EQ for about another 8 years or so. I have had a lot of amazing friends, such as Basleas, Trinnea, Ozumienda, Khoul, and too many to name off in our guild *euphoric aftermath*.. I was the guild Raid leader, we hit content as far as DoDh Tier 2 before I retired. I miss EQ live, I miss my friends, it was some of the best moments I have ever had in my life. After a few years of retirement, I find myself on eqemu with you guys. Thank you for having me and I plan to be a light player for the time being if time permits.
My Character names on THF are Myzyry(SK) and Myztical(Wiz)

I just want to say, Lillu, I highly respect and enjoy what you have done for us on THF and it's really a great thing what you're doing to keep our EQ gaming spirits alive. That statement also goes out to the whole crew of THF. Great job guys! This is a whole new lvl of fun for me.

I was Kooldae Da`Miudo. started on Povar or as the GMs called it "Pocar". leveled from 1 to 70 there and joined a few guilds...i really enjoyed helping people see the game but i got burned out on the 24/7 raiding specially with my work schedual.

few guilds i was in on povar: Stoic, Forces Unknown, Leviathan, Triton

Life calmed down for a bit and i xfered to Maelin where i joined up with a friend named Masse who was in a raiding guild. stayed with them for a while and then burned out/moved to Florida from kentucky when TBS came out.

hope to see more Povarians here this is a great server....now to get my mom's wireless connection working better...stupid 3G...

Started In 2001. Played SK until GoD came out. Rerolled a berserker (Igoberzerker) and raided with <Legacy of Steel> on nameless for almost 3 years. When LoS was fizzling out (after the mass exodus to wow) I transfered to AB to raid with Raging Fury for about 6 months on my berserker with the same name. Quit shortly after!

Started in 2000 on Tallon Zek with a few friends. Love the pvp aspect of it but I caught the bug of switching alts a lot and never really got anything past 30 there. Friend gave me his 59 SK for a while and I played it but got bored because it wasn't my character.

About 03 or so I moved with another friend to the Nameless and started my own SK, a dark elf named Senyan and the path was set, I played him for the rest of my EQ Live career till about 07-08 I believe. Raided with the guild Siege of Despair and I loved it, had a lot of fun. Eventually left to WoW for a while, same friend who got me to the Nameless found the EMU and after server hopping from SoA, P99 and various others I found THF and I think I'll stay for a while. :p
