Haydn's Chorus

is there any way to make this song generate 0 agro? it seems it pulls agro when say.. a monk has it on and flops to split a pull, they just charge the bard. for instance in the frontier mountain event it became an issue and i had to stop using haydn's chorus and i really missed the mana regen. :) honestly could do without the hp regen myself but maybe others feel differently. can't say for sure if it is the poison/disease cure or the regen that pulls agro but i am guessing it is the regen.. maybe considered a heal.

Is this not how bard songs functioned on live? Not to say that THF must follow live rules, but I'm speaking from an understanding that certain things are coded that can't be changed.

i have no idea this is my first bard on any eq server really. just thought it might not be intended for a small regen to pull agro. i don't think druid or shaman regen buffs pull any hate. but this is a song and not a spell. maybe it can't be changed.

As long as the spell is cast and finished before aggro, yes, regen = no aggro. Problem with bards songs in this case, is that essencially they are constantly being cast. every time your gem goes dark, your casting, as far as mobs are concerned, and so what you have is the same as if you had cast a heal on the puller just before FD or rangergate. You dont have much aggro....but you only need 1 point to be on the list.

Thenrin answered above, but no that isn't how it was/is on live. The only time bards would aggro a pullers mobs would be if they were actively playing songs on pulls. This usually happened with AE (Raid Wide) resist or AE regen songs (bad bards!).

honestly i just make a point of making sure my bards not singing before any big pull, otherwise it generally ends in her death, especially in DS

What thenrin said is what I meant. It was like that on live.

Same here. It has been my rule since day one on live.
