Link your pally/Ranger magelos - tbh its possible your not taking a few things into account itemization wise/AA wise (not doubting knowledge or anything) but your ranger should not be able to tank 6 with the stats you posted earlier. Hell 6 will dent my warriors health and hes a t7 tank. Link the magelos and lets have a look @ them, constructive criticism never hurt.

as far as pallys go tho - we are defiantely having 0 issues with ours so sounds more like its something on your side man.

thanks for the sarcasim guy it fixed the problem. no no it didnt. i dont know what it is but my ranger tanks better then my pally hands down and pally is better.

Look into the avoidance vs mitigation components of each character's ac and mod2 values in #mystats. Perhaps you can find something telling there.

In general, I notice framerate and net connect can impact perceived dmg output/input. It's probably nothing different, just the UI updating sporadically. To that end maybe try a session solo versus boxing?

Actually this thread and with the responses i have gotten i have figured out why my ranger can tank better than my pally its not because of the ac cause my ranger gets hit harder than my pally its because of my rangers weapons. his weapons carry 2 lifetaps a pieces healing anywhere from 600-2250 a proc thats why my ranger is out tanking my pally atm. Thanks for the advise guys and sorry for my foolishness

iirc the ST and PoAir quested augments for weapons have decent lifetap procs. maybe quest some out for the paladin.

i'm not real familiar with paladin self buffs, but the Vengeful Retribution dropped spell line adds a rune proc. combine that with the rune effect solo aura of the wall and you might get a decent bit of incoming melee absorption...

Anti played a ranger for years on live, that alone would twist a guys thinking a bit. I would not be a bit suprised if he was considering dumping his pally to make a ranger tank.
