feel free to PM for configuration tips.

Yea, I use IS on my main PC as well as WinEQ for the background frame rate control IS doesn't do. On the main PC I have a pretty basic config, using a 5 frame window layout. For character controls, I use duplicated macros in each window. For me, I've found that staying away from keyboard mapping is easier to control. Any config tips you have that would make life easier would be great.

so wait, you have IS open WinEQ2 shortcuts which in turn opens EQ within WinEQ2 within Innerspace?

/facepalm lol

Sounds convoluted.

IS is perfectly capable of frame limiting foreground/background.

Lax built it to replace WinEQ2, he wouldn't leave out something so basic :D

Actually, he did. If you check out the IS forums, you'll find that it was Lax himself who recommends running WINEQ and then IS for persons running multi-window configs. WinEQ has a frame limiter not found in IS that can greatly increase the framerates of the foreground window. I'm at work ATM but when I get home ill post the thread link.

As promised, here is the link to the information previously mentioned.

I can attest that following this information does greatly improve performance when running multiple accounts through a single machine using IS. As noted by Lax, EQPlayNice uses Rendering Limiting which is not included with IS.

People keep forgetting about mages 1k damage shield. Against a quad hitting mob, thats someserious dps without casting a single nuke. Add Nukes and pets (if not ramp fodder) and mages pretty much own. Even more so in exp groups where mobs don't have a gazillion hps.

for above.. i was tired and mixing up frame limiting with rendering limiting, yeah I guess that works too as long as wineq2 is open and watching for instances of eq to stick EQPN into!

I Box Beastlord/Druid/Enchanter/Mage and its a lot of fun so far.

Beast and Pally bot both get a 48 point DS from the mage and Fire Illusion elemental, giving them an 83 point damage shield prior to any gear mod2 bonuses or any stackable effects (beast has clicky ac/ds ). It definitely is nice to have.

I found air is about as far as you can get without gearing tank with donator items. War in full fire armour with air augs is about 34k (buffed) hp and around 5kac. At that point avatars can still one round a tank.

My normal setup is
Warrior
Cleric
Cleric
Druid
Shaman
Ranger
Monk
Rogue
Bard
Enc

sometimes adding
Wiz and Bst as well.

I only use the extra heals on some fights, so 1 cleric and druid are idle most of the time. On tougher fights like sleeper, I'd use all 4 healers in a heal chain.

Use one PC, 2 screens, without much trouble managing the crowd.

Air is doable without donators, single group
