I tried one of them several times, I'm happy to bang my head against the wall (if you ever read the post about a single group royals takedown pre velious, /wave). But I had what I'd consider a perfect run with heals, a 4 heal cycle with a heal landing close to every second, and once def wore off I copped a one round of 4 max hits which was more than enough to kill the warrior.
Appreciate they're raid mobs, but I call 12 chars a raid on THF. In a controlled environment I think I can box them at about 80-90% efficiency of a full group, the exception being keeping melee dps clickies up 100% of the time.
I guess my point here is that for a non-donator boxed team, Air is probably the pointy end. My war does have donator, and shaman too of course, along with a few others as I have a rule of donating at least $15 a month to the server. However I've avoided donating onthe tank except for 1 weapon as I wanted to experience the content relatively as is.
This isn't a gripe, I've had a lot of fun boxing my way up and highly recommend it to any aspiring boxers out there. There is a lot of content to get through pre-air, and if you don't rush it you can have months of fun gearing up your toons. The progression works really well in the first 5 tiers if you spend the time to gear all of your chars.
I have kinda stopped playing for the forseeable future, but that's more because the creative design started to move towards more team content (DS etc). Also been back to working on my own project involving a heavily modified ruleset, so it's certainly not a bad thing

Still I'm happy to come and watch someone demonstrate an avatar takedown with a fire armoured, air aug'd tank and 5 others to help (plus HH air ear and LDON gear also, but not things like casino items or haunted). I've seen numerous people claim it's possible but everyone making the claim has a ton of donator gear.
