T8 Access quest items

Non repeatable. The player with the task automatically gets his item when the npc dies. Then the corpse has 3 flags on it.

non-repeatable as in 1 person cannot flag the entire guild. If you start the event and fail it you can respawn again with the same character. Once you defeat the event, the character that spawned the event get the task update+1 flag shows up on their cursor. Then the other 3 flags are dropped from the mob.

what's more interesting to me is this quest suggests mass pulling, which is obviously discouraged on this server.

The intention was to be difficult. Not a zone that you can walk up and hail/click and automatically zone in. Tier 8 is meant to be a challenge, from gaining access to completing it will challenge every single guild to the maximum extent possible.

I wanted to reintroduce the feel of real competition with Tier 8. I am not a fan of instances and believe they took away a big aspect of the game that made EQlive fun back in the day. With that being said, let it be known that not all of Tier 8 is "open/non-instanced". The zone is set up into two sections, similar to Dreadspire. The first section is an open zone to everyone who has access. The second section can only be entered if you have defeated Xeru and is it instanced by Guilds.


If you believe the quest is to hard, or to unjust, then do not complete it. Wait for other guilds to get into T8 and then maybe in a few months time you will see a few of the T8 tokens begin leaking into the public. Its all your own choice.

This is my baby. I spent countless nights creating this new zone. The wifes not seen me in weeks, even the dog dosen`t recognise me. Its the most outrageous zone you will ever see, from gaining entry to completing. It will cause you headaches. It will make you cry. It will also fill your loot pockets with insane loot. But most of all it will make you all warm and fuzzy if you manage to defeat it.

T8 sounds like a lot of hard work which is good in my book. I have no desire to rush to end game. I like the fact that I have to work for my reward. (similar to real life folks)

ok people listen up. if your guild isnt in ds you have no way in t8. t8 is not easier than other zones. it is the zone AFTER DS so yes the quest to get in is going to be extreamly hard. stop expecting to get in for free, or getting drops givin to you. 3% is perfect for this access quest. If people think t8 is going to be easier than ds then your sadly mistaken. if your guild isnt worried about raiding then you dont deserve to be in t8 imo. it is not hard to raid, learn encounters, and progress. I hate it when people want everything handed to them (ie increase drop rates) please ive gotting all the drops on 2 of my toons, and working on helping other guildies.

fair enough. i don't play on a server where you hail to be level 70, or summon whatever gear you want for a reason. i don't care much for an easy win, but i care even less for tradeskilling. this quest has made me dread logging in. i'm sorry if you think that's offensive.
