First Impressions of THF = A++ baby

Don't have much time but just want to point out what a freakin amazing job the dev's have done with this server. I haven't played EQ since about 2006 I think (stopped shortly before level 75 was available whenever that was) but here's my first impressions.

We're total noobs. First thing going through my mind is OMG, this is gonna really suck completely starting from scratch. So we do the first quest for fun. Well welcome to THF baby! Our souls are bound, we can basically gate from any class, we've got quick access to everywhere we'd want to be, 100pp in our pockets for food and giggles...it just keeps going.

So basically the 3 of us (each 2 boxing for a full group) here are all level 20 on our second day, we "look" pretty damn good for noobs with full robes, plate/chain armour gear, and the best thing of all was right when I started a cleric MGB'd a <somespellname> RK.1 on us and my pally is already 6.5K HP, so we're just mowwwwin thru mobs like butter.

I think my single favorite time saver is the "scribe" function, so we can just get that slow time wasting stuff over with! The only thing I dislike about it is we're motoring so fast through these levels that my spell book is a mess, but I'll deal with that on a weekend or something when we're all not available to play.

Lillu has personally responded to a couple of questions I had (related to donating)....honestly compared to way SOE ran things, this is a dream, I'm happily donating as soon as I figure out what items we really need. There's soooooo much content in EQ, I hated wasting my time on all the fluff Live EQ had. Its so awesome I can't say enough good things about our first 20 levels, just an amazing job you guys! I can't wait to see what else has changed its great.

I sooo agree with this post.

I came to THF not knowing what to expect, that was almost a year ago. I am loving every minute of it. The devs are incredible, the GMs are great and put the smack down when needed. The content is better than EQLive.

It hasn't let me down either and I've been on for almost a month now I think.

My first toon was about a month after release and I was just testing a new UI while the other server I was on was down.
The few min in the hub zone interested me enough that about 3 months later I came back and Ive been here ever since with a few short breaks.
Server only gets better as time goes on.

been here over 2 years and I'm still enjoying it, staff is continously developing content to continue to keep players engaged, even if they're at the top of the raid scene.

I played 19__ server too, i really dont have time to LFG few hours.Spend a whole day just ding a single level(21>22), newbie puller pulled a train while tank is afk, and need to have a long run for CR (OT > Loio), I already did that on live about 7-8year ago, it's no funny at all.
At THF you still can do something with your bot and box some.I'll be a donor soon once I can pay us dollar.

I haven't had one moment when I thought my progression was limited or I didnt know what to do next.

Easier, yes - but thats because the things we HATED about live arent an issue.

I agree 100%! I have been having so much fun on this server! I have only been playing on it for about 3 months now but I can feel the amazing evercrack feeling once again.

I appreciate all the hours that I know the devs have spent to make this server the way it is. Keep up the good work!

I played on two other servers before tying this one. They were ok but eventually ended in a grind that was ridiculous.

This server has a great balance of material. There are tons of quests, solo material, group material, raid material, TSing, etc.

The content outshines both the other servers I have tried and the live version.
Keep up the great work guys; I'm not ready to stop playing yet. =)
