Necro, Wiz, Mage: Mana Flare

Necromancers, Wizards, and Magicians cannot scribe the scroll for this spell (it's Enchanter-only), even though it appears on all of their spell lists.

The nec mag enc wiz "Mana Flare" is this spell. according to the data base. the other is the lvl 70 dropped enc spell.

Go to this page, leave all the fields blank except the "class" field, which you should set to Necromancer, Wizard, or Magician. Then scroll all the way to the bottom and click "Mana Flare," in the list of Lv70 spells.

It goes to the spell I linked, ID 8032. Which makes sense because it's the first spell in the Mana Flare Line, and it would be weird if all four cloth classes get Mana Flare II and III from LDoNS, but only 'Chanters get Mana Flare I. If anything, the later spells should be restricted, not the early ones.

If you click the scroll listed in spell ID 8032's allaclone, you'll see that it's item 77915, which is dropped by Icewell trash. Now, either the 'clone is screwy, or the spell is. Either way, the devs should know about it.

I'm not sure why you're bringing up this other spell of the same name.

You pulled and matched the id's huh?

That IS wierd. I was under the assumption that multiple names were acceptable in the database, but that it wouldn't allow two items with the same id to exist.

I don't see why you're saying that two items have the same ID.

This is the Mana Flare that appears in all cloth-class spell lists as a level 70 spell: Spell ID 8032. The associated scroll is Item ID 77915, which drops from trash in Icewell, Kael, and Ssra, and is marked Enchanter-only, meaning it cannot be scribed by the other classes who should be able to scribe it.

The spell you listed is this, which is spell ID 1362, and does not appear in any class's spell list (in fact, if you notice, the field under "classes" in that allaclone entry is blank). Its associated scroll (odd that it has one, since it's not supposed to be part of any class's spell list) is Item ID 41290, which has no listed drop locations or recipes in the allaclone.

The only thing duplicated between these two spells is the name. They use different spell IDs and their scrolls have different item IDs.

However...

All of this is beside the point: the point being that Mana Flare (spell 8032) is supposed to be learnable by all cloth classes (NEC, ENC, MAG, WIZ), but currently only Enchanters can learn it because the scroll for it (item 77915) is set to Enchanter-only. Spell 1362 and item 41290 have nothing to do with this.

Basically, it's a conflict between the spell lists for the classes, which say all clothies can learn Mana Flare, and the scroll for Mana Flare, which is set to Enchanter-only. One of the two has to be wrong.
