my Sk , only casting spells does more dps then my druid hehe

the spears can be chain cast. But again, this is in now way asking SKs to be nerfed. Just using them and their nuke as a comparison to show how bad off the poor druids are.

Well looking back it seems the 45s recast was lost somewhere along the way, the lvl 64 spear has a 45s recast but the 70 doesn't. Can prolly expect the 45s timer to come back into play, the T8 spears will prolly be 45/35/30 by rank for the recast.

As for the main point of the thread, I'll agree, I mean the point is pretty obvious. I'll look at the Druid nukes when I get a free moment for the next spell release.

Also Druids can expect a new dot or two to come in with T8, trying to go through and add in 1-2 more spell lines for each class in T8. :)

But oh crap! every SK is gonna hate me now =/ Sorry that was so not my intention. But if it wasn't intended to be that way, maybe im just helping to balance the classes...hehe. I hope they feel the same way. I'm gonna get harm touched when i log in.

as much as I sympathize with Sks, its illogical for a melee tank class to chain cast nukes as means of dps :D

Sorry for necroing this post !

I know vaion your pointed out that druids need some lovin.

you added new dots for us:
-Immolation of Solro : 1k2 /tick
-deathswarm. 950 /tick. ( C'mon 950 per tick ? )

so I done some parsing , and if I'm using everything I got. 2.0, all dots, my nuke +manaflare + donor I top at around 3k dps for 1min fight, I find it very very low.

From my day on live playing a druid, I remember beeing able to do some very decent dps. ( 1999 to 2004/5) we had some deadly dots and very decent nuke. thats why I'm kinda frustrated here , because beside my 2.0 there is nothing exciting here.

Manaflares proccs do more dmg then my best nuke, it's kinda sad.

so my question is . am I wrong and the way druid are designed here are nothing compared to what I experienced on live or am I right and druid need some dmg boost ?

In fairness, I think the way the game is setup, there is either healing, resistance to damage, or damage.

Everyone has max haste. Slow is only useable on a few mobs. CC is generally not necessary (and often not useable). Runspeed is capped. Very few mobs run and get their friends. Most are immune to stuns. Travel is trivial.

Druids heal pretty well, not sure they bring much else to the table :) They were decent DPS (not wizards, but decent) when I played on live. Mind you that was about 6 years ago..

I'm not jumping up and down saying 'fix it! fix it!'. But it doesn't surprise me to see some classes without much of a role, given you have 3 main functions and 17 or so classes!

No joke ! on live my druid used to do some good dmg !!
man we were beast in pvp ,dispell/ snare / sow / deadly dots + little bomb nuke good times
