Possible to get my character moved from the Forest?

Hey all, so some of you know, and some of you may not know, but there are current problems in The Hidden Forest, or "Shadowed Grove". Some people, myself included, cannot do anything but move around in the Forest. If I hail NPCs, nothing happens, if I try to teleport, nothing happens. I'm pretty much stuck here with no way of leaving. So my request here is if I can somehow get my character moved from the Forest.

I'm not sure how it would work as when I log my character in I cannot talk at all and no one can see my OOC's or any form of chat. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thank you ahead of time.

somehow i think your client maybe bugged...
you didn't by chance tried playing on P99? They have an exe-injection patch that completely screws up your client installation...

I've played P999, but not on this client. I'm using my HoT/UF client and I've never had this problem before, and I know I'm not the only one, when I log in I can occasionally see 5-6 OOC's and a couple of them usually say "Is the Forest broken", or something along those lines.

I am sorry for that, I am not sure what to tell you, but srsly, 5-6 complaints from more than 350 toons logged in it's gotta be a local thing. I know everyone that has the problem says it is the server, but there's nothing going on with the server that would affect that. HoH had even more people than the forest

I can always "reboot" that zone, but that won't help anyhow. Every time I've experienced something similar myself has been a local issue (I was d/ling torrents, etc) or a localized issue (some flaky router on the line) or simple network congestion. If it would be the server it would happen to everyone, imho.

Again, I can always reboot the zone, but I don't believe that will fully solve it.

I usually run 6 chars and I've had this happen to me a few times.

One of my chars will become non responsive for some reason, I can still run around and everything, but can't hail any fairys.

Camping to desktop has always fixed it for me though.

Alright, so, after about 2 hours of trying to get out of the Forest I finally did it. I tried EVERYTHING, I used a fresh install of Titanium, SoD, and HoT/UF and that didn't work. I tried resetting my router/modem and that didn't work, and multiple times I camped out to the desktop, and that didn't work.

However, what did work was when I went up to Elyse [Normal Zones Teleporter], I hailed her and did /sa Paw [Probably works with every zone], and camped out, when I camped out it switched my zone from the Forest to Infected Paw, and once I was out of the Forest everything worked fine again.

Note: This did NOT work when trying to do the same thing with a custom zone teleporter.

This happens from time to time with every member of our guild in australia I suspect it has something to do with higher latency, the way pointers work, and the mob list. It only happens in hub zones which see a lot of updates to the mob list, and is generally at its worst when the server has been up for a while. Not all packets are affected.

It's definitely an EMU problem, but there's no way to simulate it without high traffic and latency, so it's difficult to investigate.

i have had this happen as well. Many times in fact. Sorry i didnt see this post earlier or i would have suggested typing /say what ever zone you go to. I use the HOH porter or GH porter and have a hot key made /say enter. to go to those zones and it resets it once i zone in or if i look at my ping it will be in the 15k or higher range and i camp and it is fine.
Only time i have to camp is when my ping is really high after wards but for the most part Hailing NPC's works fine after words.
