I know ;) Was just marveling at how someone could write Leopard in that way. It's kind of art :)

Will be fixing this as soon as Striat gets me SVN access. Keep in mind we don't have to make the skill live-like ;)

Here's some ideas for a solution:

  • The skill will count as another melee attack from both the primary and secondary weapons swinging at once.
  • The skill will allow you to dispell resistances of the target versus cold, disease, and poison tickers, and cause a very small (200-700) amount of damage
  • The skill will add a swarm pet to attack your target for 15 seconds, and the recast of the skill will be heightened to 60 seconds. Feral Swarm would do 1/4 the damage of the level 70 Warder.

Please let me know which one of these sounds good, and we will review them with the development team. Thanks for the bug report!

I'm not a beastlord, so please value my opinion lower than those actually playing. I'm trying to understand correctly, option #2 is

  • small damage plus a dispel attack vs cold/dis/poi which dispels the target?
  • small damage plus a cure against anything cold/dis/poi against yourself?
  • small damage plus a brief increase in reistance?

Sorry, didn't quite understand.

Think of it this way: NPCs have an innate resist stat, just like players do. That is why your spells land some of the time but not all of the time.

If you reduce their resist stat, just like a player they will be hit for more, and more often you will not see a resist. Think of Tash line of chanters, except for Cold, Poison, and Disease spells. It does not actually remove any beneficial effects on the target, instead, it reduces their resistance to certain spells, such as Bolt of Ice from Wizards, Sickness from Beastlords, and Poison Bolt line from necromancers. This would make that resist type of spell land more often and reduce the chance of damage being mitigated.

I see now, so by dispell resistances you meant reduce them. I think that #2 would be great, as it'd make beastlords even more vital to raids.

I can do that, and it's actually the easiest to implement out of all of the AA effects I listed, haha.

I will run it past our staff and see what they think of it. After it goes past our testing, I will push it out to the server. I would like one more opinion on this, though. :)

I also agree that this would provide a nice little pocket niche for the beastlord class. However, again I reiterate that I do not play a beastlord - nor do I intend to.

Sounds good. Like Jeido said, it would increase the utility of a beastlord in overall raid situations.
As for Damage variable, i'd say make it an ice-nuke with 500 Damage base :)

I think this is a great way to go for Feral Swipe. Adding this brings some more functionality for Beastlords in raiding and higher end group situations.
