hey guys, had some questions about group content as i get closer to it.

right now i run war, shm, rng, and use a rogue bot, but i plan to try and group up with a friend for doing group content as i have no desire to box more than 3 toons. he has sk, brd, mnk right now, i think.

my question is, will a shm be able to support that group well enough, or will we need a cleric for healing? not totally sure what we'd drop, probably bard or monk. i can also get a druid up in place of the shm if that would be better.

Depends what you're trying to do.

If you want to just do some light group stuff, it would probably be fine.

If you want to get into raiding with that group, you'll want a cleric. I run war/(pal or nec)/cler/shm/monk/bard and the two dedicated healers are definitely nice to have for fights with AEs, AE ramp, etc where damage is done to your whole group. Plus, I don't think I could have done PoA avatars without dual healers just to cover the tank.

well, i want to at least get though kael but i'd like to do some of the raid encounters as well, trying to talk some more friends into joining us. i reckon i'll try and get a cleric going on one of my accounts. only issue is that it will be on the account with the shm, cause i still would like my ranger in for easy damage.

Fact on this server, with multiple melee dps , you must havé à. Cleric

Shaman is probably ok for kael if its only role is to heal, can probably handle Ssra Minis also. Once you start on the Raid Tiers, you are going to want a clerics group heal. And once you are in TOV, if you are geared for the zone, you are going to want a cleric in every group.

Also the clerics ac/hp Buff and Divine intervention etc are really useful.
