The HOH augment works that way now. You destroy it hail the NPC and get a new one.

Could really use an aug besides type 2 ldons that have fire and/or frost foci on them. maybe as they evolve they focus gets better? Dragon, vampire, true, etc, etc.

History of the hidden forest, what's lead to the war between Lords of Chaos and Lords of Order, some explanation of where the deities and planar masters fall in their own loyalties, that sort of thing. The game begins with the chaotic frogloks ambushing you and clobbering you over the head, then you wake up in the Hidden Forest, are greeted by Queen Adrianne, and then... most of the plot just stops.

I would love to see the NPCs in the Forest & Vale be given some personality and history, rather than simply being there to perform a function. This quest seems like it might be a good way to start exploring some of that.

This is one of the best ideas I've read and it could be accomplished with Monster Missions.
I also would not mind seeing different types of rewards, I mean why does it only have to be one?? An augment is a good idea like the one mentioned that can be destroyed and just hail for a new one but why not also incorporate other aspects of the game that can also be included with the Monster Missions? My thoughts are, and yes I know most people hate this, but cultural armor. Have specific items drop in the missions that re needed for the combines and make them evolve like the cultural armor did on live when it got introduced with the different rankings. This could allow for some extremely nice gear for those that cannot donate and if it is in the form of a MM it could be a pickup group that does not require a large powerful guild (just some lucky dice on a roll)
This could be such a pain in the arse to develop and likely would take a lot of dedication to compile the entire history but it would be nice to see and it could be an awesome story line.
I think this would make most parties interested in doing this if not for the augment for the ability to make something better than what they currently have. It would not clog any zones as they could all be instances and if you are to uber for anything new you might just enjoy the story line that comes along with how you actually became uber
Now I do not know too much about the code for programing and all that stuff but if memory serves there were like 30 MM's on live if those can be made part of the emu server that would allow for a larger amount of content that could be told and it could even maybe tell futures that may or may-not happen

I would like to see something with Eastern Waste. I loved the Rygor camp back in the day maybe beef up chief and his boys. I also agree with the Coldain Ring quest, that was a very good one also.

The Renegade of Chaos. (A Brief Idea)
Part 1,
Queen tells you, "I have been sent word that your audience is requested, Please see The Renegade of Chaos in XXXX"
The first part of the quest is mostly a backstory, You would need to pay attention to the story as for the next step the mobs would ask you a question that was covered in the NPC text. (Prolly have 3-5 possible scripts that have diffrent questions each toon to keep it interesting)
He would tell you a story he heard about an ancient treasure burried in Sro by Ancient lords of Chaos to consume our Chaos energy and eventually be recovered the the Generals (idea's to keep it linked to some of the current lore somewhere while bringing new content into the game also.) Tells you to take a shovel and investigate it. Once ur in Sro your Carry a shovel (have a bunch of invis mobs around you can only attack with a magic shovel recieved from The Renegade of Chaos) Attack them each has a % chance to spawn the quest mob. Once you spawn the Quest mob (diff for each Class, The General guarding there Instrument of Chaos) You fight them, Each should have a pretty scripted fight, not just tank and spank. (to make it more fun make it so the fight must be done solo by each classs, then balance each boss around that class but thats alot of work)
You win, a chest spawns u open it, Loot your Loyalty quest item for your class at level 1

The Instrument of Chaos Part 2
Part 2 of the quest Would reveal a bit more backstory into why it was made, How it was made. The Start of understanding it's power and how it obtains it, The ways you could evolve it (Im not 100% sure on the coding side but could u give it like 3 Diff types of levels, The user could determine the outcome of his Instrument of Chaos Evolution by choosing a type of mobs to kill to give it Xp#1 instead of Xp#2 / Xp#3. (maybe talk to NPC and choose 1 of 3 options for each class maybe?)

Gonna shorten this part up cause it gets a little bit repetitive. Make it kinda Like HoH Evolving items, You grind out each level, once u obtain 100% xp you unlock the ability to Challenge a new guardian, This you will go solo and fight a boss that gets progressivly harder, If you win, you obtain something like Symbol of Heroic power, give this and ur item to get the next level, Each level gets longer, and harder)

Pardon me if someone already posted this idea.

Make a Pet collection / turnin quest for Crazy awesome vanity pet that doesn't provide stat value and a title which you can't get via custom title book.

Collect 90 vanity pets from lengthy camps, rare spawns and SEASONAL events that will be turned in to an NPC for a Rathe Council vanity swarm pet with an aura(non-beneficial).

Don't make any stage of the quest more than t3-t4 so its available to anyone with any playstyle.

Loyalty people already have stats - Give them Vanity.

It could stimulate the economy - but keep the seasonal pets no-drop so you could still consider it a Loyalty quest.

Whatcha think?
Thanks for the memories.

I'll need to keep playing for February to collect the Red Love Goblin

I'll need to play in March to collect the Giant Easter-Fool Bunny

Did I collect the Earth Day Earth Elemental?

One seasonal mob per holiday for vanity quest.
Thanks for the memories.

An item where you choose what stat you want to upgrade on it each time it gains a lvl, with a set amount of max. lvl?

And you can reset it?

Customizable item where you can add skill bonus/focus/worn/clicky/and more as a level up upgrade, and increase them?

Sauron will be jealous!!!
