WoS Murkglider Pet Guide

Here is a Walk Thru for the Wos of slaughter Murkglider Pet quest.

There are 3 different pets you may obtain total Murkglider, Chimera, and Feran.
So figure out what pet stats suit your characters class first before doing.


Murk Tamer Sandak says, Careful where you tread Gnome danger lurks around every corner in these parts. Perhaps i can interest you in a companion to help keep your senses while you venture these parts?

you say, a companion?

Murk Tamer Sandak says, Yes a tiny friend to aid you in battle with the extrodinary the ability to also grant you an increased sense of awareness. Though I have spoken to fast for my words, first before i tell you anymore I have learned to seek coin before hand. If you choose to test my skills any further Gnome you must first obtain that of worth to me.

You say, You seek payment?

Murktamer Sandak says, Life does not carry one for free these days, however what we seek is not common, you see these beasts roaming this area? Foul and untamed they are, though they have an uncanny knack for finding rare and valuable tokens that my kind have used for trade for many years now. If you can find and bring me four of these tokens I will then aid you further in the arts of taming one of these beats for yourself. WARNING: You can only do this quest ONCE and when you have your tiny companion you will not be able to have a different one or restart this quest!!

Murk Tamer Sandak says, Indeed I do, in these parts my brothers scouted the area and have settled where their skills fall most useful. Perhaps you do not find the companion that I offer Suitable for your needs then you can seek out my brothers and find something more to your liking.

You say, I have a choice huh?

Murk Tamer Sandak says, If thats what you wish to call it then yes you do. The beast i have learned to tame will grant you the sense to reflect and absorb spell harm one wishes to inflict on you but enough talk for now, return to me four tokens from these lands or seek out my brothers if my words fall past your interest.

Murk Tamer Sandak says, Excellent! Duhast here take this you will need it as long as you can follow my instructions and heed my warnings...

Murk Tamer Sandak says, The sack that i have given you will hold and combine the required items, you must find eight in all. All the items can be found within this very cave, once you have combined all eight items you will then have what is needed to tame your very own Murkglider.

The eight Items you need are found in the cave and are as Follows:
Murkglider Beak, Murkglider Stomach , Gelatinous Murkglider Egg, Murkglider Slime, Murkglider Skin, Murkglider Plasma, Murkglider Sinew, and Seeping Fluid

You say, Go on I'm listening

Murk Tamer Sandak says, Once you have the essence tame your murkglider you will then need to seek out a special Murkglider, one that does not have the rot of evil in its eyes for it is to late to bring them into submission. You will need to find this murkglider who also dwells within this cave here. You will know it when you see it. Still following my words here?

You say, Yes carry on.

Murk Tamer Sandak says, When you find this Murkglider you seek, engage it in combat, when it feels defeat it will fall into a state of submission, at this point you have very little time, give the murkglider the essence and its life force will manifest itself into a symbol for you to call upon it in time of need. Keep in mind that only one person may perform this at a time... Good luck Duhast and remember the warnings i mentioned also.

You say, oh my! What?

Murk Tamer Sandak says, Failure is apart of everything in this world and us tamers are not above that. Yes thats what I'm saying you have the chance to fail, the murkgliders do not always except the invitation of the essence and choose to die like a true savage beast would. However if this happens you can always come back to me and attempt it again. Some are just less fortunate then others I suppose.

After you receive the Murkglider Essence, you have to kill the eggs in the cave until you get an Untamed murkglider to spawn. Then you kill him down to 50% when he goes invulnerable. Then you must proceed to give him the Murkglider Essence and receive your pet.

3 : Effect type : Increase Chance to Reflect Spell by 45%

Firenze should write some guides.

Firenze's guide to Phara Dar:
Walk upto Phara Dar and flex muscles. Ensure your looking good by having a mirror handy. Have a second look in the mirror to make sure your still looking good. 1-hit Phara Dar. Check self in mirror again. Ask one of your guildmates to check whats on the corpse (Giving you time to look in the mirror again).

Firenze's guide to Raid Aura:
Check yourself in the mirror. Ask all the good looking guild members to follow your around (They are not needed, but its nice to have an audience). Zone into kedge keep. Put showercap on hair, check self in mirror. Ask a guildie to run to Estrellia and coh you down as swimming is for normal people with normal looks, not for Firenze with special looks. Hit Estrellia so hard all her pops die with her and she dosen't spawn for another month.

Well they call the Feran one the tank pet, but i think that murk is prolly the best for any class really.

does this stack with shaman avoidance buffs:

Does this stack with foci effects and gear's modifiers (such as webtools/items.php?id=13640 PoA ear aug):
2 : Effect type : Increase Chance to Riposte by 7%
3 : Effect type : Increase Chance to Parry by 7%
4 : Effect type : Increase Chance to Dodge by 7%

in answer to this part, yes, they do.

The foci effects are one mod (Improved Parry IX for example)
the %mod are another, such as +16% parry via belt aug
and then the buffs are a 3rd mod, and the WoS pets provide a buff with those increase.

So, (worn) foci, % mods, and buff mods will all stack.


However i do not know about this....

does this stack with shaman avoidance buffs:
2 : Effect type : Increase Chance to Avoid Melee by 7%

a dev or another member who know more about the stacking of that shm buff (Tali or Sense of Reflective Foresight) with the WoS pet buff will have to comment on that part.



I have a question for kitty and well anyone using the Mulk pet on your tank class. Why do yall prefer the murk over the Feran?
