hoh access quest

i did the reaper's fight a few days back. although we won the fight, the quest toon was killed and crashed so badly while zoning that i couldn't log her back in time to loot one of the dropped fragments. last night i found herox up again but he no longer will start the event for this toon as the event's been defeated.

i was wondering if there's any other way i could do the herox event again on this toon besides creating a new toon and go through the whole access quest again?

If you are the person doing the quest, the item auto goes to curser, you do not loot... If I remember correctly.

You must be alive to get the shard on your curson as quest trigger. If you die before Reaper's dead, then you don't get the shard and must loot one on his corpse.
In your case, I hope it will work for you. Did you try to talk to Messager to get another letter before talking to herox ?

no, i haven't tried to talk to the messenger yet. what i did was hail herox and got another shard. but the statue refused to take it as the event has been defeated.

I'm guessing the devs won't allow you to re-spawn the Reaper fight on account of getting up to 11 flags from one quest, but they may reimburse you one shard on the character that did the quest or simply ask you/guildy to do it again on another character.

I too had a death on the quest-giver character and didn't get a shard on the cursor once, so my heart goes out to you - that sucks, but hey if you end up doing the quest again you can send me a tell any time if you want more bodies to help with the fight.
