Borked my 1.5... on 6 toons

Did everything right up until handing in the stones, I did not hail before turn in. I got the stone of the persistent but somehow missed a flag as Fangor will not give me the next part of the quest to matter how much I hail him.

Are you standing close enough? Some npc's have a tiny hit box, so you have to stand nearly (if not) on top of them to elicit a response.

Could try targeting him and /say ancient weapon again *shrug*. I would assume if you got the stone, you were close enough, but that's what I would try.

Definitely have to get in close and start things off with /say ancient weapon

each step gives an actual quest step in your log, you don't get credit if you weren't on the step yet. there are some quests you don't have to actually talk to the npc for, this is not one of them. if saying ancient weapon doesn't start the conversation then hed back to forest and talk to mushroom through completion, at end of his conversation you get a flag to talk to fangor.

Tried all of these, nothing works, no response at all... Like I said earlier, I got the STone of the Persistent, so it knows I turned in the first part already.

This is the "typical problem" with the epic quest. Players turn in quest items to NPCs without even talking to them. We'll look into making this "unbreakable", just the script is very complex.
