lvl 70 Wizard - How do I solo?

Lol.. being jacked to the teeth with donor gear doesn't give you skills. You might be able to buy abilities, but skills are learned. The true test of skill is to do this server with the gear you get from drops!

Now before anyone bites my head off, that wasn't a jab at donating. By all means, donate. The people running this server certainly deserve it. But lets call a spade a spade, eh?

As for soloing with a Wizard. Well, to pull that off, you will need skills. You will need to learn how to play a wizard. You need to do it old school like on live. You are gonna die.. probably a lot. But it can be done within reason. Root and nuke. Quad kiting. It's probably going to be different here, since I haven't been looking for zones to do this in. I can't actually say there are mobs that will not summon at those levels. And it will probably be slow going no matter what.

But, depending on your frustration level, it will probably be fun!

You could try to build a tank wiz, focus on ac/dps + a priest bot and pray to have the mob dead before you actualy bit the dust

Assuming this information is correct:

A tank with 10kac will have ~4,500 effective ac.
A Caster with 75k AC will have ~4,500 effective ac.

While it is true you wont be able to solo stuff like a melee dps class, as they use the lifetap procs from weapons to stay alive, you can solo as a wizard. It won;t be easy though. If want you really want is a dps class you can run around soloing mobs you will be more efficient and have more fun using a melee class (also ALL things can be accomplished without the use of any donors, but the donor legs buff and lifetap are so powerful they will turn any melee dps into a pseudo tank).

But if you're really set on doing it as a wizard, it can be done. But again it won't be easy. It will be really hard, and you will be limited until you are very well geared, and then you will still be limited. Without a box group or a guild to assist you, getting the gear, AAs, and clickies needed to solo with a wiz is going to take a LOT of time and pp, which also takes time to farm.

If you want to see as much of THF content as you can solo, I would go with a SK or Pally. You wont have crazy dps, but you have the tools needed to solo built into these classes, and they only get better with more AAs and gear.
