Best bot to tag onto monk/sham duo?

Hey guys, I plan on 2-boxing through as much content as possible, and I was curious which class you think would make the best bot to act as our 3rd. Tank while I DPS on my monk, or a DPS while I tank on my monk? Will have WOA all the time due to shammy donor weapon.

At the moment I have a decently geared paladin bot, but I'm curious if others prefer a straight DPS, ie a rogue or necro.

If trying to progress with those two toons alone, tanking is going to be your issue. The ceiling is much higher for a monk toon than a pally bot on the tanking front, so I would recommend just sticking with a dps bot, perhaps a rogue. Pre-raid teirs? Probably the opposite - go with a pally bot. Likely going to have to do some significant donoring if you plan on progressing without any guild help or other boxes. Will be curious to hear how you well it works for you!

Also shaman is ok but if you plan on going very high with just duo you're going to be really hurting for cleric heals.

I duo a Monk/Cleric team and I used a paladin bot to tank until I got my monk his donor shield (the one with the DI clicky) and then I switched to a rogue bot (which I don't use all the time).

Cleric has donor weapon and wrist for the mana clicky and basically never runs out of mana. I imagine it would be pretty difficult to go very high in raid content with just a shaman healing.

You might want to look into doing the first few charm upgrade quests also since your toons still have the starter charm.

Thanks for the insight, maybe it's worth trying a 3box, and rolling a mage to grab the T8 pet? I honestly don't need to get TOO high into the tiers, but being able to take on the first couple on my own would be cool to gear up, maybe at least to the TOV armor quest.

Do you know abouts how the T8 pet is scaled compared to say, the donor one? I have plans on donating in the future again but the mage donor BP is a bit out of price range for a while. Is T8 good enough to provide value enough? Do they tank well enough too or just strictly DPS?
