At least I know I'm not doing anything wrong, it's just that I'm part of a slightly flawed system.

i dont know if you can really call the system flawed. just about every mmo i have ever played(eq,lineage,Dark Age of Camelot,wow,EverQuest II,Lord of the Rings Online,warhammer,and the OLD soe starwars one) has been this way.. early in the tier spellcasters out dps melee.. then when the melee catch up gearwise they start out dpsing spellcasters.

I'll stop, I swear After one more comment I'm not comparing my T6 self rogue to a T8 caster, I wouldn't care if a T8 beastlord did 30x my damage. He/She worked hard for that flag and likely farmed countless hours for his gear/spells. I'm comparing it to a relatively cheap spell that's always up in the bazaar Bazaar = not T8 :\

Edit: Please lock if you think this is going to devolve. I just wanted an open discussion on pre-T8 tiers.

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish but if it was to bring this up, I am sure everyone that read the thread got it already.

Also about your comments regarding the "cheapness" of the spell, I will refer you to the server rules which state:

# Pricing. Players are free to offer in-game goods for sell for plat or trade and to set their own prices. Complaining over OOC about your point of view of someone's pricing is not allowed. If you do not like their prices, do not purchase from them. There has been too many instances of player complaining about other player's prices with the subsequent drama. As above, no drama in this server, please.

Don't take that the wrong way, I know balance is a big priority to the developers. It's just like I've stated earlier, it's discouraging knowing I'm out-dpsed by a silly pet a fresh 70 purchased from the bazaar after a couple days of casually farming plat. !

Clerics could also complaint their DPS is bad.

You are comparing a t8 pet to a lower level geared rogue.

It is not a flawed system, it is EQ

Oh, you meant damage, not deaths (allowed by not healing) per second. Nm then....
