Help! Help! I'm being repressed!

As of the time of this post, Santa's Lil helper is not working. Will not give the combiner bag even with an empty inventory slot. Toons that tried: Donovann and Abin. They get the "confused" reply. Neither toon has done the quest before, and even if they had, they would not have gotten the "confused" reply. I tested this on a toon that has done the quest previously and he got a msg like "you've already done it this year" or some such wording.

I don't think it even matters if they have no slots open...I'd swear that when I successfully completed this quest on the first event day (on yet another toon), I had forgotten to open a slot and I simply got a msg saying so...it was not the "confused" reply.

Or maybe I too am confused.
