kill fennin to skip earlier tiers?

Just leveling up another group and was curious if i could kill fennin to skip the first three tiers or if i have to go backflag the group (or buy 6 tokens god forbid). thanks for the help .

No requirement to get into pofire so as far I know getting FR flag will only get you FR kill flag and nothing else. Only other tiers boss flag you for the previous ones.

Killing FR only flags you to enter t5, nothing more/nothing less. I'd recommend the token route. (either 6 ST tokens + FR kill, or 6 t5 tokens for the heck of it (easier for me to get xeg tokens than sleeper tokens, personally)

Don't skip. Lots of fun to be had T1-T5.

Also if you skip T5 will tear you apart without the gear.

Generally speaking I would advise against skipping tiers. The general rule is you are missing out on great content and you will be underpowered for the next tier.

In my case I made and exception with T4, I skipped right over it. I spent a lot of time fully gearing out every one of my toons in full T3 Traitors armor, and jumped right into T5 PoA. Oddly enough T4 & T5 share the same armor set (Powerful) and it's just too much of a time sink and too much plat to replace Traitors with Powerful. T5 was challenging with T3 armor, but I beat it and moved on to T6 and am nearly finished with the Ancient pieces from VP (arms and gloves from CT is a different story).

I think 90% of players skip most of t4 content because they hear "tradeskill" and wet their pants

I already had the necessary tradeskills from doing the solo aura quest, it was the plat cost that made me wet my pants.

Gearing out 12 toons with the Powerful was going to cost ~500k, and Ancient is ~750k. Throw in 12 epic 2.0's (60k) and it just wasnt feasible for me to mess with T4/5 armor.

It isn't about skipping content. I already have 2 groups that are tier 5 flagged and was making another group for fun and was just curious if i could kill fennin and jump the last group up to tier 5 with me rather than backflagging. I thoroughly enjoyed the earlier tiers. I just don't care to have to do all of the keys and what not for the extra group. Thanks for the replies .

you will need to do the quest for vp, so yes you need the flags to do that quest.
