But my SK had the coth orb from ToV as well, and he could FD through zones without much difficulty to coth to my intended targets. Though that 25 mob limit has sent him back to the forest more times than God can count :P (insert plea to start the mob limit warning at 15 instead of 20 here) I later got my rogue an orb, but it was generally too late to be useful. Also, the issue with a rogue doing it is if you slip up and accidentally aggro a mob that does see through Shroud of Stealth, your only option to fade (outside of a few clickies, the best being donor FD click) is the long cooldown evade AA which is like an hour? I can't recall :(

It's true, if you're caught out as a rogue in stealth then you have to fight or die. That said, from the perspective of a player who has used stealth extensively from the moment he got the aa skill, you quickly learn the danger npcs and work around these. Up until t6, there are a very low number of mobs that see through it. The only zone where sneak isn't reliable, until t6, is kael.

I've attempted many zones with my monk fd and on balance, the time saved using sneak greatly out-weighs the time lost to death from failed sneaks.

You're right, sneak loses its functionality at a certain point but for a new player that point is months/years away. Having both an sk and rogue provides the ultimate solution to rapid content navigation, however.

Ps swapping out the monk and mage is an excellent compromise.

If you have any questions regarding this set up, shoot me a /tell in game.

Will do, thanks ~.

The main perk of the mage was to have coh actually, if the same can be done with an item then he's on the bench. Plus monk is a nice sidekick

The coth clicky is pretty rare. I farmed ToV every day for well over a month before I saw my first one drop, but then it dropped 4 or 5 times again over the next week or so >_<

Would like to add that you should just play the classes you like. No particular class is "bad" per se. Each one does it's job admirably. Druids, for instance, are almost as good as clerics at single target heals. Rangers may not do as much DPS as the other classes, but DPS is DPS imho. Enchanter debuffs can MAKE or BREAK a raid. If you spend too much time focusing on "class x does 30% more dps than me" then you burn out quickly playing something you don't really want to.

I've been suffering from this myself. Have been trying to just play because it's fun and focus on character building, without ogling over the 300% increase in general character strength the donor BP's offer.

Keep in mind that you must own a bard in your group.

Sk / CLR / Bard / 2 melee dps ( one with life tap aura ) / SHM .

With this setup , things will be easy , goodtank, good dps , 2 healers and the usefull buffs.

Ah, the memories. I still remember our first foray into THF sebelis and running into the brick wall that was Grupinlort lol. That was when we first realised slaughtering red bosses with a trio was no longer the norm.

Got one to 70! The sk of course :P.
And thanks to that road map all of them have the stones to start the epic when the time has come.

Was lucky to snag a couple bloods from my time in sebilis and some of the nice people around helped me complete two 1.5 already :D.
Really helpful community all around :P

Next step : play catch up with the rest of the crew! They're not so far behind

Yeah. Took me awhile to kill him with couple casualties. Ran around a bit then settled in PoV.
