Hatchet in DSK2 drops a shield with aggro click.
One of the named phoenix in pofire also drops a cloak with anger clicky and I believe tov leggs for warrior have that effect too. But anger is definitly not as good aggro wise as the shield (1000 hate vs 650) and the recast isn't the same too.

Necro'ing an old thread, apologies.

I'm curious what folks would say the biggest dps increase to a group would be between weapons: Shaman 1, Bard 1/2, Mage 1, Necro 1/2. The other 2 in the group are SK (has weap v1 and Ares) and Cleric. Help me out:

- Shaman seems nice for a flat 15% damage v2, plus some ATK
- Bard v1 seems like a nice constant boost to melee DPS / v2 seems like a huge burst boost to melee and casting DPS
- Mage seems like it would beef up the pet a whooole ton and a 15% to crit for Mage isn't bad either. I'm curious though: doesn't damage v1 cap at 100%?
- Necro v1 seems to be same boat as Mage (though the 25% crit dot chance seems > 15% crit for Mage) / v2 seems like a really massive DPS outlet with the 50s reuse and DoT potential.

I have t8 pets on Mage and Necro, and plan to get both of them BPs way down the road if that affects anything.

IMO depends on where most of your DPS is already coming from. If most is from pets, the v1 weapons for mage/necro are best sustained dps, the v2s are AMAZING burst dps for them.

Given your group I'd lean towards one of the v1 weapons due to their potential to be always on

The pets definitely contribute the most DPS to the group right now. My only lingering question is the cap on damage v1 - I assume it tops out at 100%? I ask because I wonder if the v1 weap will remain relevant or if I'd want to switch over to v2 in the later tiers once buffs bring the damage v1 closer to cap (this helps the decision in Mage vs. Nec for me). I would probably grab a BP for one of the pet classes before a second weapon.

Shm/Bard are not really what I would consider significant DPS increases. For your group, go with a pet upgrade no question. Shm donor is more about survivability than DPS. Ditto on Cleric.

My understanding is for each dmg modifier (min dmg, max dmg,dmg modifier, dmg v2) the highest takes effect, not additive.

In the case of the 2 mage weapons they even stack (albeit briefly while the v2 is going (45 seconds or so) I've never noticed an issue of another buff overwriting the v1 weapon buff.

That's really good to know! Helps with min/maxing of the group beyond the weapons. I guess now I just need to parse the Mage and Necro and see which brings more DPS outside of the pet. Thanks!

I'll save you the time. Somebody can correct me if I am wrong. Mage will give you better fire and forget DPS (-kill). Necro will win by a decent margin if you can micro manage or macro it well.

Full disclosure.....I can't do either so Necro got shelved.

Each to their own, of course; more donations is good for the server so it benefits everyone in the long run.

A warrior doesn't need the BP. Once you have the group rune raid aura, the warrior holds aoe agro like a rock. My warrior often refuses to relinquish agro of adds even when we don't want him to lol.

This makes me happy to hear. I've been having trouble as a warrior reacting to adds that are not within the range of cyclone blade. Which to my knowledge is the only Aoe utility I have (@T6) outside of my aa which I believe to be useless.

Having to get closer to the adds to hit them with cyclone blades or if not up, actually engage in a round with them almost always results in the death of my mage/necro pets.

Outside of the raid aura, any other aoe aggro clickys? Or for that matter, aggro clickies in general such as the ToV legs? pre-t7

ToV BP? has an insta cast group rune. Not a clicky but putting Kiss of Life (or other augs with that effect) on your weapons helps. If my Cyclone is down I just let my boxes eat a round or two and they come to poppa. if not...or if they're dangerous adds (Hi Xuzl swords who ate my group last night) I'll pop the group rune. Honestly, not sure if the rune itself generates agro or if it just buys me time to snag agro from weapon procs.

This is kind of what I was thinking... with multiple dots ticking multiple times you have so many more chances to get a crit as opposed to just spamming a nuke. Thanks!
