Extended Target Window

I know this has been discussed in the past. Has there been any further discussion on the subject since the last time it was brought up months ago?

This would be an incredibly useful feature to have... especially for those who box. Is there a coding/server reason it is currently disabled?

Just curious.

Maybe he means the window with npc and The toon that is currently on top of aggro list?

It's a UI window that was introduced to live EQ in underfoot. Basically it's a window with multiple slots that you can assign targets to.

For example:

Slot 1 - Target of main assist
Slot 2 - Target of main tank
Slot 3 - Target of your pet
Slot 4 - npc's on your agro list
Slot 5 - nps's on your agro list

You could really customize it how you like. The default is all mobs on your hate list, so if you engaged a group of 4 mobs, all 4 would show as targets in that window that you could click on.

IIRC, it's not enabled because it's considered as an unfair advantage of UF users over Titanium. They try to keep things fair between the variety of clients :)

If that's so, I really don't get it. This isn't some PvP server and I could never imagine a situation where guilds/groups start filtering folks based on their choice of client.

I don't think the UF client has extended target window included at all. It was introduced later on.

It was definitely with UF, you can see the file in your uifiles folder. Plus when you type /xtar in game, it tells you that you need to upgrade to the UF client (even if you are using UF).

Not to compare THF to other emu servers, but the when I was briefly playing on the EZ Server I was using UF and the extended target window was fully functional.

Vaion said that it is currently disabled back in December in this post:

I'm not trying to be a pain... I'm just curious if there is a reason why it's disabled :)

I hope there's hope for it. This is a feature I'd love to see implemented here.
