First of all, as all here, I would like to thank the GMs for the awesome job done with this server ;)

Concerning the first topic of this post, it seems that donor items begin to be mandatory with PoA and the avatars. And after that, all the content was designed/adjusted for people with donor items. It's maybe here that there is a problem. I understand that it's a bit frustated to release some new content on the server and get the "first server kill" post the next day ;) but when I raid with Sian in DSK3 or VT with a donor melee team (war, rog, ber, mnk and brd) and I'm just used like some more bots, I'm a bit disappointed :(

My donations were motivated by the fact that I enjoy my play time here for some years now and that I wished to be more usefull for my guild at raid time (still not the fact, but I working on it  )

Now, there is another topic described here and it's the boxing necessity. Like most of the players here, I began with a solo player and moved to a full team with the lack of friends in my first guild. I don't think it's mandatory to box on THF but in fact, you need some active players in your guild like in any other MMORPG.

I would like to know why the people don't stay here ? Is it because of the donor items (they think that the game isn't fair with those kind of items) ? Is it because of the boxing system ? Is it because the content on the server isn't so attractive after some times ?

I don't know the answer, but I'm curious on one thing : now that boxing is allowed on the server, is there more or less active players than before ?

Reporting in !

I killed the twins in HoH tonight with Airion for the first time. Was much more tolerable a fight than the last miserable time I tried and failed with Rafe and Crede.. There was one accidental 2% split we made, but generally kept them within 1% anyway as far as we could tell. We thought we had done similar the time we tried before, but he just kept resetting at seemingly random times - the leniency with the health percentages makes a huge difference, but still requires coordination, communication, and teamwork - which I feel is likely what you were going for to begin with anyway :) Awesome!

2 peeps, 22ish toons altogether, most everyone in t7+ loot, but heavily donor'd tanks and a couple DPS'ers, but didn't use any BP cooldowns or anything due to the nature of the fight and precision required. I feel non-donor's have a great chance at completing these fights now.. (were there none before?)

Then we followed up with a Zenurix kill (my first time as well!).. Challenging, but doable, and best of all, fun! Reminds me of the old Baron Geddon fights in Molten Core when I played WoW. A fun mechanic to play with :)

Loving the changes so far!

Heya Conradd, good questions.. I have to say though, that the only reason I am still here on THF is because of the nature of boxing that is allowed. Finding this place has in a way opened up an entirely new way of gaming in MMO's I've only ever seen Guild Wars come close to having. Controlling, coordinating, and managing multiple characters to build your own hand tailored teams is quite frankly the most fun I've ever had in gaming, and I've been a diehard online gamer since I first stepped foot in Norrath in '99 ..

If anything were to ever happen to the way we are allowed to play here: ie boxing & macro'ing, I would have no reason to stay. I havn't been here as long as most of the people posting in this thread, but I must stick up for what THF is today. To me, besides the lag & connectivity issues, I feel like I've finally found my perfect gaming "home".

One more thing.

I'm really happy about the raid instance system of VT. I didn't test it myself but Sian has already team up with others players with success.

Maybe we need to improve that a little, just like the LFG window system.

Let's take an example : I log in, I want to do a full clean of DSK2 for example, nobody of my guild is online, I can /ooc to see if someone wants to come or check in this new window if someone is up for something like that.

Same suggestion for Aviak's in South Karana and Kodiak's in Great Divide.

Additions:

Sune arms, and other donator buffs should be Rk3 now imo to align with Chaos RK3 spells?

Lag issues:
A guild group of 15 or 20 went to SK to do the Herox event, and another group was in the zone working on augments. The zone became almost un playable for all parties. Most of the folks in my group logged toons out to help with the lag. The healing automations of the other group seemed to cause lag, and making them untargetable seemed to help. It would seem that zones that require more bodies or are higher traffic should be looked at to reduce lag?

Raid bugging:
Almost every raid, at least once a raid gets bugged as the leader tag gets removed and the raid has to be re-formed.

Reset Timers in DSK2 are at 20 mins. DSK3 and HOH are almost instant 3 mins in hoh. We had a lagged out player run into redfang and after clearing the 3rd boss and a mini that poped we were twidding our fingers for a while.

HOH Grind:
The new additions make it much more attainable to get characters through HoH. I would like to see a point exchange program where I could give points from one character to another. One of my toons has over 300k points booked, and not really anything to use them on. I wouldn't care even if there was a 50% penalty to give points to another character. I have 7 that have earned the dsk3 flag the old fashioned way at 25k points for the map plus armor. I think I've earned my hoh stripe :)

Nadox Loots:
Plus 1 to what Xorp said. Other than the augments and AA's, the loot in nadox goes to someones distant alt, or picked up for maybe a clickie. the non visible armor pieces are marginal at best on upgrade if any over hoh evolved gear. Even at reduced 75 aa's its 300 aa's to re aug a 4 slot item. I'd say maybe a item exchange program where you give an npc a hoh item and a nadox item and he re- augs it for you and you can see if there is a difference?

HOH Cleric Legs:
Should be a gather mana orb vs a heal orb imo.

Rallos Loot Table:
For the amount of Effort to beat Vallon/Tallon and to get bane weapons in tactics the loot table of Rallos needs adjusting. The items are powerful, and the augment is very nice, but the items are quickly replaced in hoh. Other than for guild achievement we find ourselves saying.. why are we doing this?

Agro
Heal Aggro is insanely high on the threat meter for npc's.
When I am playing my Sk to tank, who has Donor Legs, Nadox Shield, Rk3 spells, Donor sword, I experience a wth moment when a similar equipped warrior comes up and takes my threat with very little effort. I'm spamming my clickies, and spells with not a lot of reaction on threat.

Silencing Mobs
Can this be adjusted to not affect knight tanks? We are basically worthless on a mob that Silences.

Speaking totally out of the other side of my mouth, I miss the utility classes in this version of eq.

There are very few instances where a skilled puller comes into play in this game. Tank pulls whatever he can see, hopefully less than 25 :), and group proceeds to obliterate. I made a bard thinking jack of all trades, master of none. More specifically for utility. I can debuff, slow, mez, and pull. Very few fights allow for a bard to use mez and slow, as it is resisted, even after debuffs.

+1 to what Voki said about Knight classes and silence. On a lot of raids my SK is all but useless because of silence and especially on a mob that debuffs everything including discs. Would it be possible to get an upgrade to the Kael gloves or maybe a new Def. item? Maybe make a quest in order to upgrade the gloves?
