Thoughts on increasing the drop rate on the augs?

Currently its easier to get the gear than the augs. Allow me to explain. Bosses are going to drop 2 items and have a chance at dropping 1 aug. Kill 2 bosses and get 4 items and if you are very lucky 2 augs. =(

There are 8 minis in the zone that have an 8 hour lockout. If you could get all 8 to spawn, getting two-three augs out of them would be good.

This morning I did 3 bosses and 4-5 of the minis. So I received 6 new items, which are awesome btw. From all of that I got one pearl. So from todays run I have 18 aug slots and 1 aug. Next run the same thing will happen.

Last trip to VT summary:

5 minis = 0 augs
3 named = 7 items (23 aug slots) and 1 aug (Ebony)

My thought is that the aug components should be at least 50% drop rate on minis and bosses should drop more than one like in HoH/Nadox.

Seems a bit heavy for me. I understand your point PKinternet and your need of aug and I understand that 1 aug for 5 minis + 3 named isn't good, but getting a new item and be able to put immediatly or shortly after, 3 or 4 new augs on it sounds like too easy (I know, I'll regret this sentence later ). You can get some lillu distiller with the AA merchant in Qeynos catacombs for the rarest aug in your inventory, but I don't know which is the most boring, getting exp for lillu distiller or farming back some aug.

Necroing a bit this post. Finally started working on crafting the augments that I have looted in VT for the past months I have been hunting there and noticed that I have really few of them. Would be indeed nice to increase drop rate of those. Got tons of materials but the stone are really rare, like etched pattern of power (but for this one I understand why it's a rarer).

Would like to see the 10% chance added to the boss mobs, otherwise I think I'll find myself going back and farming DSK3 more to get the items I need to upgrade to the VT class armor. Would provide additional incentive to kill the lower tier bosses of VT...
