Greetings!

Hello all!

Ive been around on THF for a few years but took a break about a year ago due to RL stuff and kinda burning out. My only reason for stopping was the fact that all content above DSK1 really is only tailored for donor people (unless you can bring a raid of 25-40 people, and how many can do that?). Just wondering if there has been any change to the high end content or any buffs to classes in general that arent related to donor gear?

These kind of false statements are really upsetting to read but instead of starting an argue I suggest you to read the Server updates for the past year as it would be pretty hard to sum all the improvements, changes and new content up in a single post reply. If you really do care that is.

I dont believe that they are false statements, they are based on my own experience so they could be jaded for sure. Went through the updates from July to today and the only one that stands out in terms of character dmg output is the one on Nov 17th. If it is a substantial increase then I suppose I should give it a go again and see for myself. Am not trying to argue or call out the admins, you guys are doing a great job and I love this server - progressing here was the most fun I have had in a game for ages. Thats why its so frustrating and sad to feel like I am being "cockblocked" (if you can call it that) by dollars instead of my own ability (I am not saying that I am the perfect player!).

We made quite a few changes through the past year or so working on lowering the overall difficulty of the higher tiers. They were originally designed with the concepted group of 30ish players but that is not the truth anymore.

While the scripts themselves have not changed much, npc difficulty has been radically reduced across the board. See here for examples: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11834&p=70891&hilit=Difficulty#p70891

As always we are constantly tweaking systems and mechanics to make things better for the overall health of the community. Suggestions, ideas and concepts are always welcome :)
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...
Simon says.. touch the green one! Nooooo BLIQUE NOT THE RED ONE! zomg you just got me "Vaion Touched"!

Thank you both for your quick responses. This means I will have to get back and try these changes out this holiday :) I apologize if I came off as being pissed or displeased in my OP, english is not my native language. Looking forward to coming back to THF!

Np man. Quoting you one of our veteran players here, hope that helps too. It's part of a discussion about the top raid tier and donor items.

Out of curiosity, when you beat Nadox and DSK2 with non-donor raids, what were your setups like Sian?

Guildmate did it with a bit of everything but boxing a lot of toons for’xeru. I did’with less but my stuff was higher and i had a donor weapon here and there. Keep in mind that what i am talking about was hmm 2 years (for me) before difficulty cha ge so i believe its far better now.
Concerning nadox well it really depends which event you are talking about. Vistrinda isnt hard if you time things well, if you are reactive and go good dps to deal with adds as they come. Again in this game it all comes down to people who want to do it solo or with others. Vistrinda solo is much harder than with mates (one deal with her, others with adds). Concerning other mobs there, the difficulty is very different. Oligarth and fevarn are easy, zethurim requires big dps and kerani can be a pain. Gatekeeper is gatekeeper he is different from the rest of the boss and you can forget to do it solo, unless, super skilled, trained, stuffed and patient.
As for setup it changed over the years and so have donor items on them, since i started playing alone a lot so i started using more donors to compensate loss of help and the reduction of my computer boxing ability.
